Great People, so-so place to stay

The staff was wonderful - helpful, courteous, anf friendly. The location is handy to the western suburbs of Detroit, but the buildings are located in the back of a retail/office area and there are no lighted signs to help you. The rooms are big, but the furniture and fixtures are showing their age. The stove was not clean and smelled badly when used. We had to chase down housekeeping daily to get them to do anything on the room. You get a full cleaning once per week, and a refresh and restock daily - if housekeeping feels like it. Cooking odors from the neighboring rooms were overwhelming at times. Not bad if you need a big place and want to do your own cooking, but we were not impressed. Marriott can do better.
