Excellent place to stay
By Chicago visitor, 6/19/11
Excellent place to stay if you are visiting South Haven. The location is great, right off the toll road and not at all far from the Downtown area. The staff was very friendly, always asking if we were happy with the hotel and offered suggestions to shopping and dining. The breakfast room attendent went out of her way to make sure we were totally satisfied with the food. She offered wonderful advice as to restaurants and sightseeing in the area.

Lovely

The hotel was well maintained, had a rustic homey feel to it and was located very close to the main town. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, I would definitely go back.

same old, same old
By JudG, 10/14/06
Maybe it's just me, but this was just like any of the other three area hotels around it. Absolutely no distinguishing features, which means it is very adequate, but when staying in a resort town such as South Haven, you should try to stay on the lake and get the entire experience for roughly the same price.

Still the cleanest hotel in town
By laketraveller, 5/23/06
This hotel is still the best in South Haven compared to the older ones out by the highway. I have stayed at some of the others and now choose the Hampton exclusively. Still, it's average lodging as you would expect. When in the lakefront towns (without children), choose a B&B.

We would GO back again!
By Loretta, 4/20/06
We really liked this place. It was an awesome hotel and it was close to home. The service was great. We made reservations about three months ahead of time and when we got to our room it was still on reserve unlike other hotels in the area.
