On the Water Luxury

I am definitely coming back. The hotel is located on a converted wharf with a hotel on the landside end and condominiums on the other half. I like the eclectic decor with exposed beams and the sea air even in the atrium lobby. The first floor has half a dozen outside upscale eateries to compliment the hotel's own excellent restaurant, but it is still quiet in the rooms.
My room was large and they all seem to face the waterfront because after all you are on a wharf. The bedding and linen are very high end. You might be tempted to stay in bed all day after that flight, but then you remember you're in Sydney and get going.
It is a 50 yard walk to the botanical gardens and a half mile through the gardens to the Opera House if you like walking, that's a great way to get to the Circular Quay. The St. James train station is a shorter 15 minute walk. There are tons of taxis always available at the hotel, but I like to walk and it helps pay for my sins in the restaurant each evening. They have a free Internet PC and printer in the lobby and several on each floor so I could always find one available. That was nice to check in with the office from time to time as I didn't bring the laptop on vacation.
