Very Disappointed
By Rose, 5/19/12
Rooms were clean but that's all i can say for it. There was a fight between staff and guest. Very cold atmosphere. Guys drinking at tables in lobby. Breakfast very skimpy no fruit or juice. Food was TERRIBLE and very small portions at the diner. Would not stay here again.

Great Place
By Ed D, 1/28/12
We stopped at the Happy Days on Saturday night on 4 of July weekend and was told that they were full but they called other motels in area to secure us a room. Whereas the room was clean it lacked internet and was noisy. Then on Sunday night we again stopped at the Happy Days and were told that they did have an open room for a very affordable price. I was impressed that the people that run the Happy days were so helpful, and the decor was unbelievable. Just walking up the stairs looking at the records and pictures on the walls and telling my daughter that I knew who these people were and I had recognized most of the songs and quite a few of the faces. A truly remarkable plce to stay. I am planning a return to McAlester next week (Feb 3-6, 2012) and I am hoping to stay at the Happy Days again.

WOW!! EVERYONE SHOULD STAY AT HAPPY DAYS HOTEL!
By Valerie, 9/2/11
Calling from Indiana to make reservations in Oklahoma was the most uneventful task - Asking for the Elvis Room - Was even more uneventful. The staff was so accomodating and kind. The have breakfast every morning in the hotel; the have a Diner on the property so you don't have to drive anywhere; they are in the process of building a bowling alley behind the hotel and they have an outdoor swimming pool. Why in the world would you go anywhere else? The price is affordable; the rooms are clean; and they have so many amenities that you will definitely stay here again. We initially planned two nights; then it was 3; I would like to live on site here! Totally awesome place!! Don't let HAPPY DAYS FOOL YOU. ELVIS, JAMES DEAN, MARILYN MONROE AND SO MANY OTHERS HAVE VISITED HERE TOO. The only suggestion I would warrant for the Hotel is to place a handicapped parking spot or two by the 2nd building where Elvis lives. The sidewalk curbs could be cut away so a wheelchair bound person can get around more easily and the staff could mention or ask at the time the reservation is being made; Do you have you any special needs for parking; entry to the hotel or knowing Elvis is on the 2nd floor without an elevator to assist you. THANK YOU HAPPY DAYS HOTEL FOR EVERYTHING!! WE LOVED OUR VISIT AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!! IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR MY FRIEND AND I.

Little disapointed , but its ok
By MrPeevysHeart, 6/16/11
We were very excited to stay here and even talked several of our family to stay here to while we were visiting for a family reunion, needless to say we werent impressed and a lot of our family was not impressed either. First off housekeeping is at your door at 9am they dont even knock, even though check out isnt till 11am . Breakfast consists of all carbs bran cereal, bagels, waffles. no fruit ,protien just carbs it was very balnd. The pool opens at 10 am if they remember , so dont plan on going swimming since housekeeping woke you up early . Everytime we tried to eat at the diner it was closed which was pretty early in my opinion for a diner on the highway accompaning a hotel.the rooms were small and not very clean. the WiFi did not work but you can take a turn on the community computer in the lobby if you want to wait hours to get a turn. The only ice machine is in the main biulding and there were men walking aorund and hanging out in the parking lot drinking beer everynight we were there (3) till 2am or later which for a woman can make you very uncomfortable. We would stay here again if it was the only hotel with a vacant room in the whole city.the people thought were very nice except one woman who worked the afternoon evening shift she was very rude we refused to go to the lobby until the night shift came on ,she was just that unpleasant.

We want to live there!
By nana, 2/21/11
My husband I have stayed in motels all over the country, every state, all prices. Happy Days is #1! It doesn't have that "motel" smell. It is all too obvious that the owners, (who, by the way, are THE sweetest people), go out of their way to create an environment that leaves nothing to be desired. If you loved the fifties, you'll be in heaven! The chenelle bedspreads take me back to the times I spent with my beloved Grandmother. Angel's Diner, across the parking lot, is too cool! It's like one big happy family! We will go back every chance we get.

very nice and clean. sat out by water fall. even place to cook out. angel cafe was great, only complaint was the mattress, me and my husband both had touble sleeping, and both got up with sore sore backs. wont stay again just for that reason. the time before stayed at holiday expess and the mattress was so comfortable tryed to look at what kind they used on internet, but more pricy.
