will never stay here again

I had to book a motel for a business trip for my husband. I wanted a motel close to his office on Ambassador Parkway. Upon meeting my husband there, I was dismayed when I saw the unkept outside of the building. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was awful. It had been cleaned, no smell, but the room itself looked to be 10-20 years old and I was under the impression that it was a fairly new hotel. The noise each night(two nights stay) was terrible! I found out the second day that this motel was being used as a hurricane evacuee location. I tried to be understanding because of the stress the staff was under. This motel has been trashed and I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here unless you are used to paying $64 a night for no sleep and bed springs sticking into your back. As I said the staff tried to be helpful, but the strain was obvious. The hotel will obviously have to be renovated or either place itself in a lower catagory of service. Hurricane Katrina devastated a lot of lives, including my area of southern Mississippi, but I was always taught to clean up after I stayed somewhere and to treat everyone, especially those helping you with respect.
