Ramada Limited Redding, Redding

The check in staff was AMAZING. Then our stay went down hill. The light when we walked in the room didn't work the switch next to the vanity wasn't connected to anything, we turn on the bathroom light to get to the rest of the room. There were poorly patched holes in the walls painted over with unmatched paint. There were only blackout curtains no sheers. The bed was hard & springs were popping as we slept. All of the furniture was build for people 4'0 & under. The toilet paper was a used roll that had very little left. We could hear the people in the room above us walking to & using the bathroom. The pool area was dirty & had a 1 inch puddle around it all over the floor. There was no emergency phone in the pool area. There were no towels in the pool area. When I went to the front desk to ask for towels the 1st day of our visit the employee at the desk was rude. She ignored me standing there & stopped to talk to another employee who walked up after I did, when she finally acknowledged me & I asked for towels she sent me to another staff member who was very friendly. The rude employee was even more rude to the person she sent me to when letting her know what I needed.

My work is sending me to Redding for 2 months and I was just hoping before I went if someone who stayed there could post some of their own pics. I have obviously seen their company pictures but find it hard to believe with these reviews that the hotel actually looks like that...Please if you can, I would truly appreciate it!

it was the dirtest motel we have ever been to, the pool and hot tub were green and the bathroom had black mold growing on the walls.

We had a Jacuzzi Suite. It was really nice and only 120 with tax. The room was clean and the bed linens were clean and looked nice. I have no complaints accept the breakfast could have been a little better and the microwave wasn't working. But otherwise it was great I would go back!

The Ramada Inn has great costumer services and many great commodities. The indoor pool and spa are a huge plus to any one's stay. The staff is nothing but courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Ramada is one of the few hotels that offers suites with jacuzzis in the room.

It was clean and well appointed. It was a little close to the freeway for noise, but this also made it convenient. Overall, I would give it an average mark compared to all lodging, but above average to excellent for its category of lodging.

Other reviewers have remarked on the erratic quality of the front desk staff, and they are right -- during our 2-night stay, the staff appeared disorganized at times, but always extremely friendly and apologetic (our room keys would not work after 2 uses -- it became almost comedic in nature). Would I stay here again? Absolutely -- the area and parking is safe and clean; the rates are excellent; rooms were clean and bathroom very roomy; indoor pool and spa are great with kids. This location is north of the Hilltop Drive area of Redding, which is getting too crowded for my tastes.

The hotel is clean and moderately priced. The staff were very helpful. I wanted to know directions for a nearby place and they gave me a neat printout of the area map! The room is spacious and looks great. Add a complimentary breakfast too and it is a pretty good deal for a night's stay.

Hmmm, I don't know why I didn't enjoy my experience as much as the other reviewers. Maybe my stay started just started on a wrong foot. When I checked in, I waited for 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back. When someone finally emerged, she looked right past me and helped another woman who just came to the desk. When the other customer pointed out that I was here first, the clerk said that someone else will be helping me. I hope it wasn't a racial issue (I'm a minority member, and the other customer was white). But even if it wasn't, that moment was just bad customer service. Other than that, the rooms were clean, there's good access to I-5, and the security is good. Don't expect much from your shower...there's practically no water pressure. And there's not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
