Ascott Makati, Makati City

YEs it`s just inside the mall but the room smells really bad! The carpet so sticky! and old! Its too disgusting! I have stayed there five days, unfortunately I could`t cancel my booking. first 3 night coud`t sleep! it stinks so bad, they gave me air purifier, did`t help!

Well equiped kitchen.Very close to 3 supermarkets so you can prepare your own food. You are not forced to eat restaurant meals all the time.Fresh produce, luscious tropical fruit abound. Mangoes that were picked off the trees at the right time were in season (March). Many food courts close by if you don't like to cook. Love this place.

All good rooms, next to a shoping centre, and big pool. The staff is very plesant and grey help but the a/c is a bit noisie

We stayed at Ascott for 2 weeks. We had a 2-BR suite. Staff are courteous and prompt. Room is cleaned on a daily basis. Very spacious. Loved that we have a washer/dryer in our suite. That was a plus. The location is wonderful. It's close to everything -- SM, Glorietta, Rustans. There's a bakery in Glorietta Mall called Breatalk. Great bakery that sells designer bread. We loved using the gym, swimming pool, library and game room. Dislikes - carpets in bedrooms are worn out and need to be replaced. Curtains and window panes are kind of dirty. The business center charge $5 for 30 minutes use of the internet! Way too much. Just to to EGG internet cafe right beside Ascott. They only charge 60pesos ($1+ per hour). The breakfast buffet price of $18 is too much. My husband and my bfast is included with the room charge but for my 2 kids who are both under 12 and eat very little, I thought paying $18 is a bit stiff. If they could do something about this, ASCOTT would be a great place to stay. We would definitely stay there again next time we're in Manila.

I love that all the suites have separate room/living room and a small kitchen area with utensils and a microwave. The service and security are great. The main lobby is on the 6th floor, the ground floor entrance is just an entrance lol to get the the main part. You wont be disappointed, everything you need is just a stone's throw away.

i like the service and the rooms and food it tastes great.i planed to go back next year. i dont like other employees and the room service.

Recent visitor from May 20 - 25, 2007. Plus Side: - Locaction is excellent for shopping lovers. - Staffs were very couteous, polite, and tried hard to accommodate residents. - Well equipped fitness center, and swimming pool. Minus Side: - Hallway carpets stinks. Steam clean or replace. - Window drapes dirty, need to be replaced. - Dirty window panes. - Floor carpets are worn out, overdue for replacement. - Bathroom needs refurbishment. - Pillows are too soft, not compfortable to sleep on. - B'fast food, very average. - Hotel price is not proportionate to the overall rating.

My title says it all. Perfect Location - Oakwood is located right next to and on top of Glorietta Mall,a large mall with anything you would ever need. Also right next door is Rustan's, a Nordstom like department store and Shoe Mart, which is like Macy's but with a gorcery store so you can stock up on water and snacks. Greenbelt and it's designer shops and high end restaurants and bars is a short walk or a $50 peso cab ride away. Manila Bay with Lunetta Park, Bay Walk,CCP, etc. is a short cab ride away as well. Huge Clean Suites - We stayed in 3 - two bedroom suites. Each suite comfortably held up to 9 people at time when we were all meeting to go out. All the suites had beautiful views of Makati and the surround area. The hotel also has the usual ammenitites like spa and swimming pool. Excellent Service - From check in to check out, the service was top notch. I think way better than the hotels in US and even better than the hotels in Europe. We typically got a 5 minute response time for things like laundry pick up, water delivery, etc. Room service was longer but that is to be expected. At check out, they held our bags for two days without a charge. I would love to come back to Oakwood on my next visit. The only reason I might not is to give Shangri-la a chance to top it.

Everthing is great! I would just probably suggest to give a good discount rate to all frequent customers. I stay in this hotel everytime I visit the Philippines. Last year was my 4x and I stayed for 2 weeks. It was great but its pretty pricy..

The best place to go with the family!very convinient in all aspect! i love the room and the location and of course the service!the staff of the hotel are very accomodating, very polite and hospitable. i can compare their service with the Holywood Hotel in Disneyland Hong Knong. but they need to improve the choices of thier breakfast buffet, they should offer a wide range choices of breakfast to thier guests. but overall rate? Excellent service and rooms. till next time!
