Great Location
By Former Ramonan, 2/11/08
everything was walkable, hotel staff great, rooms were a good size, the only down side is the internet access was about $30 USD per day. Was there on business, will go back with the family some day soon.

Great Location in Prague
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/06
Very happy with our stay. Only thing of great dislike was the morning coffee. Coffee was terrible. Marriott I know you can make better coffee that can be drank.

COMMONLY OVERBOOKS ROOMS
By Kirk, 7/21/06
We learned quickly that this hotel COMMONLY overbooks their rooms on a regular basis. If you arrive in the evening you will probably not get your room. They will try to send you to another Marriott owned less valued hotel. It happened to us, as well as others repeatedly during our stay. On several occasions we notified this hotel of our late arrival. We arrived at midnight after a 2 day non-stop journey trying to get to Prague from the US that was plagued with problems. When we arrived the Night Mgr (Martina) told us "Sorry, nothing I can do. I overbook and gave your room away". She looked at me in the face and didn't answer when I asked if she would have charged my credit card if I didn't show up. Unlike most, I called back to the U.S. to Marriott Rewards Customer service using my cell at $2.79/min insisting they do something. 35 minutes later, we agreed on them to put us up in the Marriott Apartments (2 miles away) free, pay for roundtrip transportation when our room was avilable the next day, pay for a free dinner, AND upgraded us to the presidential suite for the remainder of our stay. So be calm, rational, and PERSISTANT or you will get what others we spoke to at the hotel received: The Courtyard Marriot 5 miles away, you have to pay for the room, you pay for a taxi to/from the hotel until the Marriott has a room ready, no free dinner, and no free upgrade. Otherwise, everything else was fine. Good location. The rest of the staff was fine. Free wifi internet in the bar only.

Same guy, 2 years later.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/06
OK, I wrote a review of this hotel 2 years ago, and I loved it. Perhaps exposure to more hotels has given me a better view on things. Once again I stayed in an executive level room, actually the same room as 2 years ago. Upon arrival, there is plenty of room to park and unload. The bellhops are top-notch, almost sprinting out to help you with your luggage or valet park your car. Reception staff is good as ever, and the lobby is exactly as I remember. The room is also as I remember, big, bright and clean. Business lounge had a renovation, sacrificing some PC's for a new lounge area, still very nice (only 2 PC's though). The biggest differences are the fact that broadband internet access costs more for a day than I pay for a month of super-fast access at home. Oh, and if you want the really fast connection in the room, plan on paying even more. Breakfast is not included in the price (was last time). Now I am not picky, but if you paid what I paid for this room (executive level, more than 250 Euro a night), you'd probably expect them to suck it up a bit and throw in the internet access and breakfast for free. Nope, not here. I have stayed in many hotels not nearly as nice or as expensive as this and had them both for free, or at least included in the price. Don't get me wrong, this place is THE best in terms of service, cleanliness, location, staff, and everything else. Apparently capitalism has firmly taken root here because if you want the best of the best, you're gonna pay for it. Perhaps next time I will try the Renaissance (also by Mariott) across the street, which is a bit less expensive, and see how that works out. Stay tuned for more updates next year.

Very good option
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/05
The Marriott hotel is convenient to everything in Old Town, Jewish Quarter and the Castle. Short walk to Charles Bridge. Excellent fitness club in the basement and casino next door.

Absolutely fabulous!
By lilly r, 5/16/05
Staying at the Marriott Prague was like a vacation in itself. First, the staff is incredibly hospitable and will do absolutely anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The front desk people cater to all your needs. The lobby restaurant has great food and incredible service. The doorman even offered me his coat to use as a towel when we came back in the rain one day! The building itself is gorgeous and luxurious. Pretty much everything is in walking distance -- and the few things that aren't are easily taken care of because the subway and trolleys are a couple of blocks away. The internet connection may be a little expensive, but there are several cheap internet cafes nearby. At night, the immediate neighborhood offers you several romantic dining spots, outdoor dining, hip/trendy bars, sophisticated lounges...anything you can think of. You will feel like royalty when you stay at this hotel -- I literally do not have one complaint.

I'd give it 8-stars if I could......
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/04
And that is not an exaggeration!! Having traveled much of Europe as of late, this continues to be my very favorite hotel!! Of course, that it is in my favorite city helps as well. Located 5 minutes of walking from the old town, this hotel puts you close to everything without feeling 'trapped'. Parking is via an underground garage, and the train/bus stations are a 2 minute walk at a slow pace. As for the hotel itself, it's modern, clean, and the food on-site is tough to beat. Staff is the ever-friendly type that you expect of a Radisson. Business-class floors are accessed via a key-card, and the rooms are large and very well appointed, with all the perks you would expect. The business class lounge offers coffee and other light refreshments and snacks at all hours, and free internet access. I have tried to find a downside to this hotel, and if there is one, it may be the price. But as in all things, you get what you pay for. This is definately my home when in Prague!!!

Marriott Praque hotel
By Karl, 5/8/04
The hotel is first class quality, the prices of $300.00 ++ per night are just too high for the type of hotel, even in Praque, not even New York would charge that.
