Excellent DC option
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/16/08
For $200 a night, this is one of the best deals in the DC area. Rooms are very spacious and the breakfast buffet is fabulous. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk to Georgetown and a 2-minute walk to the Rosslyn metro station. I highly recommend it. Note: It is cleaner than the Residence Inn in Dupont and seems to be better managed so if you are trying to decide between them, go with Rosslyn.

Mediocre
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/24/07
We stayed at this motel because of the good reviews, location and free buffet. We will not stay there again. The buffet is a joke. Nearly everything was cold and the breads were hard and cold. A microwave would have helped. When ever we entered/exited the motel from the lobby we were greeted by the smell of the cigarette smokers that congregated outside near the front entrance. There isn't a swimming pool which it needed and in this world of HD and satellite TV you'd think they'd have more than a few dozen Tv channels to watch. We had to continually ask for extra towels and toileteries for our family of four. For what they charge I expected more or at least a complementary airport shuttle. It is clean and quite and the staff is very professional and in a good location.

Great value and location in expensive city
By AdamW, 6/3/07
I stayed at the Residence Inn Rosslyn with my family for three nights during the week before Memorial Day weekend in 2007 and we have only good things to say about the facility. There are many perks for staying here that are absolutely free: hot breakfast buffet every morning (we're talking eggs, sausages, French toast, cereal etc.), free cafeteria-style dinner Monday to Wednesday evenings and free desserts on Thursday nights if you don't want to spend more money on restaurants (we thought the food tasted good but then my family doesn't really eat out at places outside of diners and Applebee's-esque restaurants either), and free cookies at the front desk anytime you walk by. The building itself is very attractive looking with yellow and red brick motifs with lots of trees and beds of flowers around it during the warmer months. The rooms were very nice and large (we stayed in two studio suites which have a queen-sized bed and a couch that folds out into another bed for two people) and good deal for $129/night + tax especially for the DC area. The location of the building is pretty good in that it's 2 1/2 blocks from the Rosslyn Metro stop and only a five minute walk at the most if you're of average health. Although I will warn there is an uphill walk while walking from the Metro to the hotel but, again, nothing you can't handle if you are a person without health complications. Airplanes landing at National Airport do fly somewhat low overhead but I never heard them while in the hotel. The roads around the hotel are also quiet as it's in a business district which really empties out after 5pm but still very safe for walking around at night. There are not a whole lot of restaurants or bars around this hotel except for a Ruby Tuesday's but you can always go to downtown via the Metro to get something more exotic to eat if necessary. Internet is also easy to come by at this hotel since there is free wired Internet in all the rooms and an open computer down in the dining room for general use like checking email etc. There is also a great restaurant right behind the hotel called the Jefferson Cafe which is a buffet style place which offers all sorts of food that you pay for by the pound (around $5.30/lb.) Overall, this hotel really provides a lot for your buck while not taking a whole lot of those bucks compared to other hotels in the area. A fantastic place to stay in Arlington, VA for those using the Metro to travel around DC and VA.

Hotel was a disappointment
By Lisa, 4/9/07
After weeks & weeks of searching for a hotel around the DC area I finally chose this one. The hotel is in a great location, with lots of restaurants around the area. The Metro is within walking distance and breakfast is hot & tasty. The disappointment began the day after arrival. After the room was cleaned I still found tissue behind the commode, trash on the floor and dirt on the table. I had to ask for washclothes daily. The most dissappointing thing was when my husband bracelet became "missing" off the bedside table. Of course it was never found and all that was offered was to fill out a lost and found sheet. We were so upset over the whole experience we cut our trip a day short.

What a fabulous place to stay!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/27/07
If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the DC area that is safe, clean, conveniently located, has a great staff, offers a complimentary breakfast buffet that should satisfy anyone, PLEASE don't overlook this gem! We just lucked into it and are so thankful we did. Easy walk to metro and a mall with Macy's and Nordstrom's, etc. Be sure to get to know Mariam at the front desk. She is GREAT and will make reservations for you at excellent restaurants and also arrange for the shuttle to take you to the restaurants (and pick you up) as well as take you back to the airport. We stayed 4 nights and would highly recommend!!

Great Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/07
We stayed for four nights while visiting DC. The staff is wonderful; very helpful and child friendly. The front desk staff has printed directions to anywhere you want to go; from walking directions to the local CVS to driving directions to the new NASM Annex. The breakfast bar offers all the usual choices but also includes hot choices like sausage, French toast, eggs, and potatoes. The hotel offers dinner on M-W evenings. This is a full hot dinner with meat, vegetables, and bread. The food is cafeteria type food, but nice to have available when we didn't want to go out again for a meal. The dining staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice. We stayed in a studio, which had one queen bed and a sleeper sofa, a full kitchen and living area combo. The entire hotel is newly remodeled. The location is close to DC with a very easy walk to the Metro. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay! :)
By John Lamkin, 4/22/06
We had a really good experience at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs, the rooms had a full kitchen which was perfect for making meals and the overall feel was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be staying there on our next trip to the DC area.

Love it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/05
Good location. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Nice service. Breakfast buffet is good. It would be better if they have swimming pool and whirlpool. It was a little confusing to find the place according to map quest.
