Holiday Inn Exp Suites Fenton, Fenton

I stayed at this hotel and checked in on Friday June 22nd as I had a reservation that my aunt booked for me and paid for. I had made my own reservation 2 weeks before that online but was told only one day had 1 room available. I called to cancel it later and was told on 3 different days that there was no reservation in their system that had been booked by me with my credit card so I figured it just didn't work because I never a confirmation number and I assumed that something happened with my internet that didn't allow the booking to go through until the end and as I said, I was told there was nothing to cancel because I wasnt in their system. I checked in under my aunt's name and later after my trip I found out that not only did they charge me that night for a no show, they charged me for the honeymoon suite!!!! I was staying alone and when I booked online, I wasnt booking for the honeymoon suite. The people at the counter obviously aren't trained properly and couldn't find any reservation under my name and then on top of that, switched the reservation I did book to the honeymoon suite since they were booked that night and would rather not be out the 177.00 bucks that they charge for that room. They would rather be out the 85 or whatever it is for a regular room but are now telling me that it is my fault because I didnt cancel and refuse to credit me back ANY MONEY at all and also refused to give me their full name. They were very rude and kept telling me that I just need to be satisfied with what they are doing for me which is nothing and I need to consider the fact that they could have given that room to someone else and gotten paid for it. Well what happened to the customer is always right? They are liars and very inconsiderate people who need to learn what good customer service is. Especially running a HOTEL business. On top of that, My keys did not work when I tried to use them about 2 hours after I checked in. I checked in and didnt go to the room, I went to my relatives home a half a mile away. I never took the keys out of the folder paper they give them to you in and when i told the girl the keys did not work, she said "well you wiped them out, You put them next to a credit card or cell phone" and I told her I did no such thing and she said "Um, You OBVIOUSLY did and you CANT do that" and she was VERY ride as well. A young girl with brown hair. she gave me the keys and told me not to do that again. I will never stay in this hotel again and neither with any of my family. I have a lot of family in Fenton who are going to spread the word on this very poorly run hotel. My bank is investigating the charge of 177.00 bucks and I assure you, I will win and this hotel will be out that money and as far as them being booked up that night. There were a towl of 8 cars all together in the parking lot all weekend. More lies...Stay away from there..Far away! The maid service is no good either, Someone needs to teach them how to make a bed. Don't come into a room to clean it and tidy it up and leave one bed not made, A blanket thrown in the corner of the room and 2 dirty towels in places I did not leave them. They did give me clean towels and new coffee.. Pathetic! Stay in Linden if you need somewhere to stay in or near Fenton but do not stay at the Fenton Holiday Inn.
