WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/09
We have traveled across country twice now and have stayed in numerous hotels. We have traveled with our pets on both travels. This hotel was available for the days we needed and they stated were pet friendly. On our 2nd day a very rude man (Derek Auclair), suppose to be a manager told us that we had to keep our cats in a crate while we were in our room and when we left. If this is their policy FINE but this is a huge deal breaker and had they DONE THEIR JOB and told us this was their policy we would have NEVER stayed their. WHO has ever heard of this. We cut our trip 1 day short and checked out. The manager Gail basically didn't give a crap that we were so disappointed. When asked for the owners name to complain, they REFUSED!! OH and their Deluxe breakfast. HA what a huge joke. DONT WASTE your phone call on this place. If so, BE AWARE!!!

Comfortable room
By Martin Weiss, 02/19/08
We stayed here in February 2008. We found it to be a good value for the one night we spent there. In 0 degree (F) weather, it was a little far to the shopping areas. West Yellowstone is 1 sq mi, so nothing is really that far. The hotel was clean, the hot tub was nice, and the breakfast quite adequate. The staff were helpful and courteous. It is a good, average hotel -- not luxurious, but also not cheap and tacky. We would stay there again if we find ourselves in West Yellowstone.

Decent place and decent people
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/07
The room was pretty much what we expected. Not extravagant, but clean and adequate. Nice people. Even called to return an item that I had intended to throw away. Nothing wrong with this place.

A great night's sleep and hot tub
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/07
My husband and I stayed in mid May. It was clean and the hot tub was a welcomed surprise after a long day driving.

Exactly what we hoped for!
By Michelle, 10/30/06
The room was very clean and a good size. The front desk was very helpful and even helped in dinner recommendations. The continental breakfast was great. They served do-it-yourself belgian waffles, bagels, toast and plenty of different cereals. It was a great place at an exceptional value. We will definitely stay there again.

Your Average Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/06
From the impressions I got on the Web, and the name of the joint, Yellowstone LODGE, I thought this place would have a lot more character. It's just an average motel. I've seen much cleaner rooms before. Also, two huge groups of teenagers stayed there while we were there and totally dominated the pool area. What really hacked me off most was that when we complained to the staff, they shrugged their shoulders and said the kids were equally entitled to creating the chaotic scene in the pool area because they were guests too. A reasonable manager would have come up with a compromise, which I suggested, but was ignored. Anyway, seeing all the glowing reviews on this site, I feel like I might be one of those one in every bunch who complains. Seriously though, I am very easy going and easy to please and won't be staying here again. If you don't want to stay in the park, any place in West Yellowstone is just as close to the gate as the next.

Made our first snowmobile trip out west the best vacation we've ever had. Staff helped us enormously with questions and other small details. Can't wait to make the trip back in a few years!
