Nite Inn At Universal City, Studio City

I have never written a review before, but I must let people know that this was the worst experience I have had in my life! The room was dark, smelly, no dresser, no mirror, broken window blinds, uncomfortable beds. Don't stay here, horrible, checked out early next morning and went to the a hotel at Universal and it was like a palace in comparison. You are better off sleeping in your car!

This is the worst hotel I have been to in years. We chose it based on the proximity to Universal Studios, and this is the only good thing I can say about the hotel. Hostile service, poor beds, inedible breakfast served in the reception office. And when we woke up in the morning, the bathroom had some thirty bees swarming around.They had us pay in advance - otherwise we would have left on the spot.

Did a road trip of California and this place was a clear winner for the wort hotel we stayed at...pricewise, cleaniness, quality etc.. save yourself the hassle stay in Anaheim and commute to Universal!

My daughter has suffered from bed bug bites during our stay at the Nite Inn and the lady at the front desk insisted that they did not have bed bugs. I should have read all the reviews before booking because there were similar complaints in the past.But i guess management just didn't care about the comfort of their guests. Visit the place and see for yourself. This hotel is not what they claim they are.This is the USA, i never thought of an unclean place to stay until we stayed here.The only thing nice is they were close to the nearest shuttle to universal studios.

the property is not the hilton but it's clean and offers all of today's amenities. I liked the location very much, we walked to Universal Studios!

These people really try to make you feel at home they are friendly and want to make sure your place is clean and up to par. I stayed a few nights, when I first checked in I wasn't very happy with the room I got it was really small, they offered me another room, a nicer one and gave me a good discount. I have had no trouble there, its quiet and close to places to eat and 2 blocks from city walk. nice place I recommend it! also it isn't very expensive at all the jacuzzi suite is right around 110.00 :)

Well, I found this hotel originally on another site but decided to come on here and found out it was a few dollars cheaper than the other site. I noticed that it was 2 star hotel, so I wasn't expecting much. I had read the reviews from 2006 after I reserved my room already and was horrified by what I read. So I called the hotel and the manager was quite rude and was trying to get me off of the phone. I asked him about the bug problem and if he read the reviews on his hotel, he said he had and that there are no more bugs but it was just the way he delivered his answers that were not making me feel any better about staying here. Well, we get here around 9am, check in time isn't until 2pm, and all we want to do is take a shower after driving for 4.5 hours. We ask if we can check in earlier, and he said around 12. We went to a late breakfast at this really awesome little place up the block. We get back to the car and he says our room is ready and it's about 11am. So that was a plus. :) Now, here is the reaction...it stunk, like a musty smell masked by floral air freshener is the best I can describe it. But just put the AC on to circulate the air, and it gets TONS better. The TV is in the worst possible place that you could put a TV aside from under the bed. No joke and it's only a tiny little 19", so if it's amenities you want in a stay, this probably isn't the place for you. It literally has your necessities, toilet, sink, shower, bed... That's about it and so for $67 a night, it's okay. The parking is terrible, you can double park so you may possibly get a late night phone call to move your car or something...oops.

This motel is the worst I've ever seen. After I was showed the room I complained to the guy in the front desk the untidiness of his motel. The guy did not give me a refund. His reason was that I booked the room in advance and it is not their policy to refund. He also did not give me the management's telephone number when I asked. The 3 nights I spent there was awful. The carpet was worn out and with suspicious stains. The bed was small (they claim it's a "Queen" size) and extremely uncomfortable (you can feel mattress inside metal-like-fillings when you lay down on it). The shower - I have to wait for five minutes until I can feel warm water. The toilet area was extremly small and any size bigger than I am can not fit in. I don't want to mention other unfunctional things like TV-remoter or alarm-clock since they are really minor issues compared to others. I am so regret that I did not check the reviews before I booked the room. The guy in the front desk was very rude and aggresive. I am so shocked to see place like this.

We found a hand full of Bed Bugs crawling under the pillow! Then they didn't even want to give us a full refund, because we had used the bathroom (once). Horrible place - stay away.

Hmmmmm, I normally don't bother to write reviews unless they went extremely well or extremely poor. Unfortunately my stay at the Nite Inn is the latter. Here's my review. My stay was for 2 nights. Upon checking in I was told that I can spend the night in the room I had supposedly reserved but I must transfer to another room tomorrow. I didn't like the thought of having to move all my belongings once I settle in so I questioned him why? He informed me that they must perform maintenance and they needed to paint inside. I didn't like the thought of staying in a room that needed to be painted but I was tired so I went with the flow and agreed to move to another room the next day. The first omen so to speak was the key they gave me to unlock the door did not work. They had to use the master key to let me in and informed me since I'll be transferring to another room tomorrow not to worry about it. The room was blistering hot due to the recent heat wave (7-23-06) but fortunately the air conditioner worked and cooled down the room within a few hours. The room appeared clean but the carpet had several burned iron impressions in the carpet. The night was going uneventful until my son woke up in the night because he felt something crawling on his chest. He grabbed whatever was on his chest and threw it on the sheets. My wife who was abruptly awaken checked his sheets to find a bug (not sure if it was a roach but definitely a bug) she quickly wrapped in toilet paper and flushed it down the toilet. The creepy factor started to sink in but I figured we'll be in another room tomorrow and we won't be spending a lot of time in the room anyway. The next day we spent the whole day at Universal Studios (which by the way you can reach from the hotel,you must walk aprx 10 minutes to a shuttle which will then take you to the park) and upon arriving back to the hotel and our new room we planned on settling in. The first thing I checked in the room was the bed sheets. To my horror both beds had either stained or dirty sheets! It was then my wife and I agreed we were not spending another minute in this hotel. I marched into the front desk and explained what I found. The front desk offered me another room but I explained to them our confidence had been shaken and we're not spending another night. At first they weren't too receptive on refunding me for the 2nd night. They brought up issues of why I didn�t bring up these problems earlier. I normally don't complain much and didn't think each incident by themselves were of concern but as a whole is totally unacceptable. I didn't pick up on some of the things they told me during our "discussion" but now that I think of it they told me the reason I was being transferred to another room initially was because it needed to be painted but the story changed later and they told me it had been reserved to another person. Strange how my reservation didn't seem to mean much. Eventually they gave me a refund for the 2nd night but not after giving me a parting shot that I probably didn't want to stay a 2nd night in the first place! Having been lied to, the conditions of the rooms and the unprofessional demeanor of the front desk, I cannot recommend this hotel.
