BEWARE OF BED BUGS!
By EMH, 04/03/09
My employees stayed at this hotel while working in So. Cal on 3/26/09. Do NOT stay here! They are infested with BED BUGS!!! They got up at 4 am to go to work and the bed in room 102 was filled with BED BUGS! My employee, a week later, has a horrible rash from the hundreds of bites he suffered. He Is now on anti-biotics for the infection and steriods for the swelling. They refunded 50% of room price. What a joke, half price rooms, but they come with bed bugs! I reported this to the Environmental Health Department in LA, they surveyed the property, found multiple rooms infested (even found dead bugs in the bathrooms) and made them fumigate some of the rooms. If you read up on them, which I now have, this does not always get rid of them. BEWARE You can also take them home with you in your luggage.

close to CBS cheper than Farmers Daughter
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/07
Close walking distance to CBS and Farmers market and short driving distance to walk of fame. Room was clean, alittle old looking but very clean and in a safe, nice neiborghood directly across the street from CBS.

Pass on this location... unless there is nothing else.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/06
SERVICE was questionable....front desk person on private phone call during my morning request for an iron & board (suppose to be in rooms.. NOT) I had to wait for him to put the phone down and got the roll of the eyes. COMFORT was questionable... small room, tv and frig in middle of room, blanket as soft as a burlap bag, pillows were not comfortable. CLEANLINESS was great... very clean from curbside, staircase, hallways, patio and rooms!!! LOCATION was good for our one night and convenient for our morning appointment. VENDING/water & soda machines were BROKE and have been broke for quite some time, per the front desk... shame, shame. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST... consisted of stale (small) croissants, white bread slices, coco-puffs, frosted flakes, milk, OJ, butter, grape jelly, coffee... Yummy.. NOT!!! The internet description is deceptive... from room pictures, amenity availability, to breakfast description :)... Oh and the parking garage is TINY, we loved the scrap marks and chunks from the corner wall when people entered/exited... good thing we had a small car. The front desk does have cameras watching the street garage, ally garage and hallways. We got a wake up call at 1:30 am, by mistake... ha ha and the front desk person did apologize, although we didn't understand them at first, we were asleep, so we had to ask again and then that woke us up the second apology...lol. Quiet room, no traffic noise in our room, but the tv and shower from the neighbor room was noticeable, so we just turned our tv up too :) So, needless to say, I really think that this room was overpriced ($69.95+tax), but due to the area and the convenience that we needed for our destination, I guess the price was good. And we are home safe and makes us appreciate home base ... there is no place like home :) Have a great life!!

There rates are never what is advertised.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/06
In the travel Guide It gave a Price of $54 and add $10 for weekend and with out reservations. Then on the web site it said $62 We got charged $100 per night. When I brought it to the clerks attention he gave all kinds of reasons why they wouldn't honor there prices. I am verry unhappy and will never stay there again.

Horrid
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/05
While the hotel may be in a "prime location" the staf is far from prime. The parking is horrid. The rooms have roaches, rats, and are otherwise decrepid. Stay away.

I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/05
The parking was ridiculously inadequate. I almost wrecked my car trying to get it out of the parking lot, and apparently many people have wrecked their cars because there was scrap marks along the way. The customer service was horrible. The room they gave us was absolutely horrid. It was so small my son kicked the dresser trying to get onto the bed. We immediately decided to leave the room after the first 5 minutes of being in the room. When I did decide to leave they tried to refuse giving me my money back, but after 30 minutes of fighting the clerk I finally got my money back. My son is special needs and they didn't seem to understand the importance of removinghim from an uncomfortable situation. My friend used his credit card to reserve the room but I pid in cash, when we wwere leaving they told me they were still going to charge his credit card even though weren't satisfied. I'm not sure if anyone's experience wasas horrible as mine be careful before going here.

Nice but we missed continental breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/05
The location was good. Parking was very difficult because it was underneath the hotel and the enterance was very narrow, we could barely even fit a compact car in. When we woke in the morning the signs clearly posted that continental breakfast was available during certain hours. We came down at the time when the breakfast should have been available, but the staff said breakfast was over, forcing us to find someplace to eat in downtown Los Angeles. The room was clean and spacious, but we were disappointed with the promise of a continental breakfast.
