my wife asked on the 17 august to check out , one night before departure. The girl onthe front desk asked her for 32 convertible pessos, my wife paid but the girl didnt gave her a reiceipt, when i went to ask for it she said that she couldnt give as one because she didnt close the bill. I personally had my doubdts for the amount because we only had 3 cofees and 5 nights safe rent , plus a local 1 minute tel call. the next morning 18th august when i asked for the bill reicept the amount on the bill was 23!!!! When i asked for explanations the girl said that i was lying , then i became furious and i caled my guide to help. On the process i found out that even the 23 pesos were wrong. I should be charged 14.25!!!!!!!!! needles to say that all the group had a similar problem but i am the trouble maker and i was the only one who started shouting, after my voice about 15 people from my group and other groups had to face the same issue. after 20 minutes of shouting and beiing disputed they gave me my money back. please have in mind that during my two weeks stay in cuba i gave to locals more than 200 euros in donations and more than 100 eoros in food and soap............but i dont like people ( especially cubans who have a wealthy life livung from tourist ) to put their hands in my pocket whithout my permission even for one cent. another incident hapened with five or six people from my group including myself with a front office/ receptionist, and that was the miscounting of 2-3 pesos each time we went to change money.........always on her favor.......but we all gave her the benefit of the doubt.......... once again ....be very carefull from the well dressed ones , not the poor people.
