It is a real pleasure to write this review of the Wingate hotel in grand blanc, mi. The parking lot is spacious and clean. Check in was quick and easy. Hordoeurvres were waiting in lobby before dinner hour. The standard two- bed room looked like a suite compared to others visited. It was large, had three good sized chairs, and was absolutely spotless. A refrigerator and microwave came in handy. What a plus for a standard room. This area seemed to be quite safe. Returning to our room after midnight caused no anxiety on our part. The beds were something to dream of. I want one. Mine was the most comfortable bed I had ever slept in away from home. The coverlet on top of the bed was lovely and a perfect size. Who needs the heavy large ones that never seem to be clean? These are just the right weight and size to fold up and then wash if need be. I’ll take three of these please. We enjoyed a quiet room, thus giving us a perfect night’s sleep. Being invited out for breakfast caused us to miss the hotel morning meal. For this I am sorry. I love critiquing food. Bob Evans restaurant, just steps away, is as it always was and intended to be in the founder’s home state of Ohio. i will undoubtably return.

We stayed at this property during a weekend getaway to Frankenmuth/Birch Run. The property was easy to find and was approx. 35 minutes away from Frankenmuth/Birch Run and approx. 10 minutes away from Miller Rd. in Flint which offers shopping at Target, ToysRUs, BabiesRUs and a nice shopping mall. Value was excellent, we had a CAA/AAA rate of under $100 USD and it included a deluxe continental breakfast that included cereals, waffles, eggs, potatoes, pastries, muffins, oatmeal, toast and english muffins. It was a very clean well kept property. Our room was very clean and spacious. No noise could be heard from neighbours however there was some noise if the person above was a heavy walker (nothing to lose sleep over though). TV offered a good variety of channels. Our children enjoyed the pool area and again it was very well kept. My husband used the fitness area and was very impressed by the equipment offered. The lobby/breakfast area is kept very clean and has a large screen t.v. with nice comfortable couches along with a small play area for the kids (mine loved it and so did I, every hotel should offer something similiar!) The staff was very friendly and more than helpful. In closing I would recommend this property to anyone.
