Homewood Suites Orlando International Drive, Orlando

This was our first family trip to Orlando to Disney World! After reviewing tons of hotels we decided to go with Homewood Suites! We sure did get lucky what a great place. Staff was great, pool area was great also the breakfast every morning was awsome. The reception dinner was great too. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and kitchen was a good size for doing dinners in the room instead of eating out. Great location to Disney and Sea World. I will return to this hotel next time we come to Orlando. There isnt 1 complaint to tell.

We had a wonderful stay during what is one of the busiest weeks of the year in Orlando. Staff was very friendly, location was perfect, suite was comfortable and clean. The free breakfast and dinner hour buffets were a nice perk and saves a good bit of money if you around during those hours. I hate to even throw in a negative considering how happy were but I'll just say don't rely on the computers provided in the "business center." Only one of two was working, very slow and was usually tied up by teenagers. We would absolutely stay her again.

Like the last review, we made reservations last September and when checking to make sure everything was ok (a week before arrival), we were told they had no suites available and we would have to settle for 2 adjacent rooms (for a party of 7). After several attempts to correspond with them, they finally called back 2 days before our departure and told us they had a cancellation and we would be back in a 2 bdrm suite. The sheets were stained and had to request new ones, we were never given enough wash cloths and towels and had to request new ones every night inspite of writing the maid a note. The floor was not vacuumed the entire week of our stay, one bed was left unmade one of the days. The TV had to be repaired and there were ants crawling in the sink and up the bathroom wall. The hot tub had sooooo many chemicals in it that it turned my husbands navy blue swim trunks to a deplorable brown in an hour and we had to ask for clean towels for the pool area. The only good thing about this place is the breakfast! We have stayed in other Homewood Suites in the past and have been very pleased. This one; however, was a disappointment.

We had confirmed reservations for a suite at Hilton Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. We are leaving in NINE days. Approximately 5 days ago, my husband went online to confirm our reservation and the websited stated that they were taking reservations for May 8th! We immediately called Hilton to inquire about this and were told that yes, sorry the hotel would not be open in time. We received NO notification of this and our plans were made in JANUARY. Had my husband not checked himself we would have arrived at Disney World and had no where to stay on one of the busiest weeks. We were asked to call customer service in the morning. My husband did that and with a flippant sorry, they suggested that we either stay at one of their other hotels (that she happily told us would be much cheaper) but it was one of their economy hotels and just happened to be one hour away from Disney or stay at their embassy suites hotel in two rooms, not a suite for TWICE the amount that we were originally going to pay. We asked for comparable reservations elsewhere and were told we would have to wait 72 hours to get an answer. Well, the 72 hours and more have passed and we still have no where to stay. Our phone calls and emails have been ignored or we are sent to another department and told they will fix it. This will be my daughters first trip to Disney and I fear we will not be able to go. We havent been able to find any other arrangements at other hotels. All are booked. Please do not use ANY Hilton Hotels. They customer service is deplorable, the employees dont care and eventually they just stop answering correspondance. We are sickened at the thought that there are other vacationers out there who reserved rooms at this Hilton and will arrive at their destination only to find out that they have no where to stay. We were completely ignored when asked if they were going to notify others about the unopened hotel. We have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and found out that Hilton has a rating of F with the BBB. if we would have known this ahead of time we would have never used them. Please dont make the same mistake we did!

We stayed here on Thanksgiving, for four nights. They had a Thanksgivingdinner for the guest that was pretty good, the same as their breakfasts. This is a very family friendly hotel. Rooms are large with full kitchens, livingroom with sleeper sofa and king bed in bedroom. The location is great. Near all types of restaurants and Walgreens where you can stock up on drinks and snacks. The public transportation is wonderful and very easy to get around town. The pool is small and gets very little sun light as it is in a courtyard type setting. Liked — location Disliked — pool

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. The staff were not interested in customer service and things seemed like too much trouble. They have also charged us extra for something that we have not received a bill for and no explanation for this has yet been provided. We received 1 days' notice of work commencing on the floor above us and were not offered the choice of another room until they started work on our level less than 2 days before we were due to check out. The manager was never available to speak to even though we left several messages. Not what you would expect of a Hilton hotel. Couldn't recommend this to friends or family.

It was our first time at the suites and we loved it. we stayed two nights,it was clean,staff was excellent .i can not say anything bad about are stay. it was awsome

Our second visit and we are planning a third. The staff are really nice. The breakfasts and the Managers Special (Mon-Thurs 5-7) are fantastic. Rooms are WOW. The only bad thing is that the pool loses the sun mid afternoon. Other than that... Fantastic.

Great location. You can walk to a lot of places; i.e. Mini-golf, Howl at the Moon, Tony Roma's, Houlihan's, Wonderworks, Pointe, Reebok Outlet, etc. If you're going to Wet N Wild or Sea World, its a few minutes drive to each. Or, if you spend $1, you can ride the trolly. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, evening meal is nice as well, with complimentary beer and wine. Only complaints we heard were that the cups/glasses were too small :) and folks had to keep going back. Pool is nice and the fitness room is up to date. We go to Orlando several time a year and love to stay at the Homewood Suites.

Superb location away from the noise of International drive. The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is located behind bahama breeze which is really nice for a relaxed meal and drink anytime of the day. If you want to venture further at night and drink the I-trolley stop is 200 yards from the hotel and is very regular. The room is has everything you'll need including a full size fridge to fit in all the beers you'll need. All the parks are within a few moments away and the hotel also provides a shuttle service to them if you don't feel like driving.The breakfast is a full breakfast hot and cold food, the bonus is that you can take it back to your room if you prefer a little peace and quiet after waking, I used to go down and get my wife's and mine and return to the room, very relaxing in the morning.I could go on and on about how good the hotel is but just go and see for yourself, it's great and I can't wait to go back.
