I read the reviews for this hotel before we booked was kinda skeptical but decided to stay here because of location. Wow we where surprised by the room size 2 tv's 2 separate rooms staff was excellent. we had no complaints. We will stay again on our next trip thanks

the hotel was not good. the whirlpool wasn't clean. low water pressure in the shower. the manger was rude. i wouldn't stay here again.

i read all the reviews and most of what i read i didnt see. i came for two nites of "contraband days" and just called up and they were able to fit me in for the two nites. upon arrival i found the staff very friendly and the place was very clean. went to my room and it too was nice. it is an older hotel but for 100.00 theres no way anyone can complain. the room ws clean. the a/c worked well. mini fridge and microwave were clean. room smelled clean. i was given two free drinks in the lobby in the evening. the free breakfast was good and hot. food and fruit was fresh and tasty. ive stayed in lots of hotels and some 4 stars werent as good as this place! it passed my "pickyness" test!

Both the soda machine and the ice machine on our floor were out of service. The pool was closed for upgrading. The kitchenette sink faucets failed to deliver any water at all. They ran out of newspapers that you are supposed to get. On the other side, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were large fluffy and white. Will probably look elsewhere for next time. This is a shame because I have to stay over in Lake Charles every month on business.

The reservation clerk made an error on my reservation and booked me in a day early. Since I didn't show up, I was billed for the one night stay that I wasn't there. The staff would not listen to me when I explained that THEY made a mistake and told me to request a credit from my credit card company. They were not concerned at all about this and I had to get the credit through my Mastercard. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau of Lake Charles.

I just love this place as soon as we arrived we were told about the free cocktails from 5-7, they also had popcorn, nachos & cheese and chips all included. The hotel and rooms were very clean, the bathroom was small but thats okay because the room was really big and had two TV's and separating door from the front and back room. My kids loved the indoor pool and I enjoyed the spa and fitness center. OMG!! the breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel its not that continental mess with plain dry foods, they actually had a sausage,biscuits,eggs grits, etc. Oh and the staff was very friendly, a lady named Dee at the front desk was very friendly and the set of twins in the kitchen (sorry didnt get your names) was very attentive and nice. The price is extremely reasonable and I will always stay here when I visit.

This hotel is wonderful for the price. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean, breakfast buffet has great food, and you can't find a free happy hour any other place! It was really nice for us as they take pets and that isn't always easy to find. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Getting away was a gift from friends because my husband just works all the time and we live a very hectic lifestyle. From the time I called about the reservation, clerks Anthony and Connie were friendly and great! We had a Whirlpool room that was very spacious. The king sized bed was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the spa by the pool as well as the huge whirlpool in our room. The Breakfast Buffet was very good. My husband's favorite is gravy and biscuits and everything else was good too. He said the gravy was almost as good as my Mom's. That was a big compliment!!!! There is a snack time in the afternoon and one day they served delicious meatballs!! Travel time is only a little over an hour from our home and we will definitely be going again for R & R time. The Business room was private and equipped with computer, printer, stapler, etc. and we were able to get on line to check email and such. The pool heater coil was out and on order and the tread mill was to be repaired the day we left and I was a little disappointed with those but overall it was very nice, quiet and restful. I just did my walking in the glassed in pool area. We enjoyed the city too, especially an exceptional Chinese Restaurant on Prien Lake Road. The only comments I left with the hotel to improve on was to have more channels on the TV. There were about 50 but I really enjoy TVLand, Hallmark and TCM. None of those were available. I would recommend this place to anybody and am looking forward to our next visit!!!

Overall I think this is an okay place to stay. I was there a couple of weeks ago and really didn't have any problems. We had a great view of the lake so that was a plus. The price might be a little high for what you get, I'm assuming that has something to do with location though. I would recommend this place to others. Our room was very spacious, the view was great, and there wasn't a lot of loud noise.

This hotel has not held up well since the storm. It was filthy last time I arrived... filthy to the point of unsanitary. I checked out after 1 night and went somewhere else for the rest of my business trip.
