Excellent choice in North Boston

In contrast to the SpringHill Suites next door, we really enjoed our stay at the Homewood Suites.
The key feature was the excellent room: a large living area with TV, a full kitchen with cooking supplies, counter seating (no actual table), a completely separate bedroom with TV, and an average bathroom. Plus, the price was the same as the next-door SpringHill Suites ($119/night). We stayed next-door for 2 nights, then moved to the Homewood for the remaining 5 nights of our trip.
There is a typical (and reasonably good) "free" breakfast every day, and Monday-Thursday there is an included dinner with a rotating menu (e.g., spaghetti & meatballs).
Negatives: The fitness room is not as good as the SpringHill (no weight machine, just free weights up to 35 lbs., and the aerobic machines weren't in very good condition). The SpringHill had a better shower.
The Homewood suffers from the same location problems as the SpringHill: because of the center divider on US-1, you can't make a left into the hotel when coming from the north.
If we return to the area for another visit, we will definitely consider staying here again. The hotel was extremely comfortable and an excellent value.
PS- The Homewood is also adjacent to the Hampton Inn, and it shares a shuttle bus with the Hampton. I assume it would take you to nearby businesses, etc. We were on a leisure trip and so didn't use the shuttle.
