Adequate Accomodations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/6/11
Not as bad as some describe, but nothing special either.Just got a regular king size room. View of the river was gorgeous. Showers are hot, rooms are a bit worn but fairly clean. Mattress was newer and comfortable, but sheets were worn and needed to be the deep pocket kind, so they kept pulling off at the corners. Staff is friendly, but somewhat absent minded when it comes to special requests. Had to ask for extra pillows 3 X, decaf coffee 2X. Ice machine was broken and no attempt was made to fix it during our stay, Pool was closed due to repairs and no mention had been made when making our reservation. Breakfast was good for a weekday continental: scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns, waffles, cereal, fruit, juice, milk, bagels, biscuits and gravy. In somewhat of a rundown area, but centrally located to many attractions. Visit Anderson Japanese Gardens and Burpee Museum if you have a chance. Did not have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant due to high prices..nor did we order room service for the same reason. Looked like the deck attached to the restaurant would have been a romantic place to have dinner though. Not a wide variety of other restaurants in the immediate area other than fast food places... If I went to the area again, I would probably stay at one of the hotel chains closer to I-90.

An Overlooked Gem!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/11
The desk, restaurant and bar staff will make you fee right at home, only better. It is a nice place with many renovated suites. Highly recommended for extended stay business trips with a nice and free hot breakfast, an after work "social hour", and good food in the restaurant and bar, a short walk down the indoor hallway from the hotel.

dont think Ill be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/15/09
I took my family on what I thought would be a nice dinner and stay away from home. We get to dinner and they tried to seat us at a normal table we reserved a private dinning table. Then my wife and daughter ordered there steaks well done. They came out rare. sent them back and rare again. the third time they came out they were medium. Dinner for four was 130 dollars It was not worth it. The waitress was great about everything but the manager had nothing to say. We get to our room and one of the beds was broken. The tv was broken. and no hot water for the shower. The manager came up to the room tried to fix the tv. with no luck. looked at the bed and said hed make a note of it. and then left. We went to the pool It was about a foot low from were it normally was.The pool itself was really small. The water was luke warm at best. Went back to our room and still no hot water for a shower. Were tired by this point so we all lay down my daughters on a pull out couch no one on the broken bed and my wife and I in our bed. But there a party going on up stairs in one of the banquet rooms. The music was so loud you could see ripples in a glass of water. That went on till 2 am. In the morning we tried to take showers again NO HOT WATER still. we went down for the continental breakfast which was juice bagels and day old danishes. You would be better off at a normal hotel and better off at mcdonalds next door for dinner.

DO NOT STAY OR EAT HERE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/06
We were in town for a wedding party and the bride and groom had booked almost 10 rooms for the weekend for the various out of town guests. We we arrived after the wedding rehearsal for dinner, they did not have food available at the so-called "seafood buffet" and anything that was left there on the buffet table had been sitting out for quite a while and cold. It took over 45 minutes for them to bring out fresh food in the buffet after the groom had to go and have some heated discussions with their management staff. Needless to say, no one in our table of 25 people were in the mood to stay and eat anything else. Again, the management made no offers to correct the situation like desserts or making adjustments to the dinner tab. The front end manager and Chef really did not paid any attention to the guests comments nor made any efforts to correct the situation, nor were they apologetic -- In addition, their management staff was really rude to the guests and kept raising their voices to the guests in the dinning room infront of everyone -- totally un-exceptable. The chef appearantly did not want to hear about the problems and just walked away. One of the guests of the party had to switch hotel rooms 3 times because their reservation was mis-placed and the alternate rooms were infected with ants throughout the room. When the issue was brought to the HOTEL OWNER the next day, he just made a comment to the groom that he was being rude to the staff which was NOT the case. The only reason that the groom got upset with the staff was their poor management and poor customer skills and ONLY after the rest of the management staff did not pay any attention to the various guests' comments and concerns and started to raise their own voices. Needless to say that most of us decided to check out the next day despite their 24 hour cancellation policy and was not in the mood to put another dime of our own hard earned money into this space. DO NOT STAY HERE OR EAT HERE!

Family Wedding
By BrianK, 4/12/06
We stayed 3 days for a nephews wedding. The first day, our room door would not lock and they could not fix it. When we went out, we had to take all the valuables with us. The essentials (soap, shampoo) where missing from our room. The last day our children wanted to go swimming before we left and they could not open the door to get into the pool. We were told that a hotel employee took the keys home. Try telling that to three young children.

Never going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/9/05
We stayed at the Comfort Suites for a wedding being held at Cliff Breakers. We did not have any hot water for our shower. It was in fact ice cold. We called the desk and were told that's the way it is, the hotel is busy. I did put up a big fuse in their lobby until they said the room bill was taken care of just leave. I only wanted a $20 discount. The group we were with was quite large and we later found out they did not have hot water either but the hotel would do nothing to compensate them. I do not recommend this hotel. The rooms are quite average, which was expected, however, I do expect hot water for my shower.
