Residence Inn by Marriott Beverly Hills, Los Angeles

The hotel was nice overall. The location was good. The valet parking and staff was convenient and friendly. Now the bad part, the sheets and mattress pads are terribly stained and need to be replaced totally. 2 nights in a row we had to have new sheets. It was BAD! The 3rd night a spider crawled across my face when almost asleep. That was it for me. I would not stay there again. We reported this the next day and were given a 1 day parking rate credited of $22.

The valet did not inform us that a bellman was available until we had loaded everything up ourselves. The bellman arrived just as we were finishing. I would suggest that the valet ask "are you checking in? And do you have any luggage? If so, I can call the bellman." The young ladies at the check-in counter were were helpful and polite. Both were more than willing to answer our numerous questions. The room was clean, but not as pictured. We had asked for a room with a view, but our windows look out on other windows...we cannot even see the street (only hear it). The queen bed is accessible from only one side...you must roll over the bed to access the draperies or window. I don't know how the maid manages! This is due to a protrusion into the room by what appears to be a furnace/air conditioning addition. The kitchenette is great, and there is a work station with wireless (unsecured) internet. The bathroom is very, very small...the sink about the size of a typical powder room...so it is awkward finding a place for toiletries and things. At night you cannot use the sink without turning on a light that will disturb others who are sleeping. (Bad setup). Again, it is clean, the breakfast is good, the location is quite central (7 mi. to Venice Beach or Santa Monica Pier, walking distance to Beverly Hills --- Rodeo Drive, etc. --- and there is a grocery store within walking distance, also). I would not stay in a studio suite again, and would upgrade this minute if a room was available.

I love this property, it's in beautiful Manhatttan Beach and close to everything. Right by the beach you would never know you are in LA county. There is a trader joe's and target close by and just everything you need. Do pick up some pam for pots and pans, everything else is right at your fingertips.

From check-in to check-out, never had a delay or problem. Clean and resonable. Make sure to ask for promotional rate. Their restaurant is also pretty good.

Love this place...all Residence Inn Hotels...They feel like you're at your own Condo or apartment rather than a hotel room, and best of all you still get service and dining, amenities, etc...Located conveniently close to eating out spots and big cities for night life but with the same feel of going home and staying away from the crazyness if you want it... It's decorated with comfort and practicality, and still new and with style...I just love it!!!

This hotel totally accomodates every need for a great family vacation to Disneyland and other theme parks. Breakfast and late lunches were provided. In room fully stocked kitchens, in case you don't want to spend $ at a restaurant. All is clean and every need attended to. Free shuttle to local activities. This place felt like a home away from home, it even had a fireplace and you could rent movies as well. The pool was warm and relaxing even in December. The hotel staff went out of their way to make everyone happy. Laurie

Nothing beats the service and all the people that work there.

My wife and I moved from LA to the Bay Area several years back, so we often return to LA to see friends and work with a music producer we know in LA. It used to be we'd crash on a friends' couch, but we now have an 18-month old toddler, and that's just not possible. We love the Residence Inn because having the extra space in what amounts to a small "1-bedroom apartment" for a week really saves our sanity. The hotel is a short drive from Beverly Hills and walking distance from lots of good restaurants, so we always feel right at home visiting here.
