Jameson Inn Tupelo, Tupelo

THE DOOR LOCKS WHERE BROKEN AS IF SOMEWHONE TRIED TO BREAK IN??? CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND THEY SAID THEY WHERE AWARE OF IT??? WE LEFT THE PLACE.

I stayed here for one night. I got the last available room and thought, "Wow, lucky me!!" That thought lasted for about 2 minutes after I got into the room. At a glance the hotel looks nice and so did the room. Upon further inspection, I realized that this was definitely the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at. Every wall had dirt (from boogers to ????), the floors were ridiculously dirty, the toilet was not secure (it rocked when I flushed it), the bath tub's plug was stuck in the "plugged" position, the room smelled like someone just got done smoking in it, there were bugs all over the place, there were no available towels, but what did it for me was the dirt (finger nail clippings, hair, and other things) I found after peeling the sheets off the bed. This "dirt" was in the bed and on the pillows. Luckily I brought my own pillow. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well. I know it's disgusting, but it's true. Don't waste your money.

I chose Jameson because of location. It was near where I was working. That's about the only positive I observed. When I checked in, my non-smoking room smelled like a dirty ash tray. I asked for another which I was given without argument. The second room had an overflowing, stopped up toilet (yuk). Once more I asked to be moved, and again I was given another room without hesitation. The third room was fair but the smell was very, very musty. I had to drive to Wal Mart to purchaser some room fresherner. Do yourself a favor...pass this one up.

The room looked nice & seemed clean but after getting out of the shower my feet got dirty just walking on the carpet. Also, on the second night, I saw a roach on the wall while I was in the shower & two more bugs on the floor in the room! However, the pool was very nice & clean & the employees were all very nice & friendly.
