Whai I Liked was an airconditioned room to sleep in. What I did't like was 1. stains on pillow and no pillow case. 2. T.V. would not work, until maintance smacked it around 3. Opened Mouthwash 4.Coffee pot did not have a grounds basket. 5. no Ice machines on floors that work. Last of all when I checked out and voiced my complaints. The front desk shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. No offer to make anything better. I will not go back there and won't reccommend to any one

My stay recently at the Holiday Inn Select was made good because of the courtesy and professional attitude of the staff. I ran into some problems with the plumbing in my first room on night one. I was assigned another room that also had some issues. Even though a played musical rooms for a little while, I could see that the staff, from the maintanance man to the clean up lady, did everything that they could to get me settled in for the night and make my stay as comfortable as possible. Yes the place is a little dated but all in all, even with the problems that occured, it was a pretty pleasant stay. Everyone of the staff members that I encountered handled things well. I would recommend to the hotel that they do what should be done to spruce up a little, clean the carpets,but I would probably stay there again.

The location is great (downtown Tallahassee), but that was the only positive thing I can say. The room was filthy. The closet had dried mud all over the bottom, and the bathroom looked as though it had not been cleaned in quite a while. Also, the front dest staff was very impersonal.

For me, on this trip, the location was key and that's why I chose this hotel. I'm not sure whether I'd stay there again. The common areas are nice; the guest rooms are a little "tired", needing upgrades and maintenance and deep cleaning. It's also very noisy due to design. One absolutely gross detail--a "stained" quilted bedspread on the bed. Disgusting!!!

Great Location close to the Capitol easy walking distance, Great views form each room, Good food and the service was great. They had large enough meeting rooms for our Board of Director meeting.
