Horrible customer service. They will do whatever they can to get as much money out of you as possible. Do not book online or ever!!!!!!

Unreasonable managment

I liked the location. I travelled with a group and was responsible for making our reservations. I needed to cancel two rooms (within the guidelines of the email I received) and was charged $600 as a cancellation fee. Management will not refund the money even though the email stated (and an employee assured me) I was in the guidelines of the cancellation policy.

Suites are not really suites, they are reconfigured standard hotel rooms. Sink is in the middle of the room. No privacy. Bathroom is tiny. Hotel sign is nearly impossible to see from the road. Maid did not leave any soap or shampoo the second day.

Great for a large family

The rooms are very comfortable for a family of 6 and reasonably priced. The breakfast is awesome. You really can't miss if you are on a tight budget.

Good times

The guy at the desk was crosseyed and wouldnt help us at all with the bags even though my grampie had heart problems. The room was really clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice. I liked the pool and workout room.

Great value

For the money and location, great buy. I would definitely stay again. There was some construction going on while I was there in April 2006 but that seemed to be almost complete. Everything is fairly new and nice.

Sable Oaks Portland

It was clean, fairly quiet and a nice place to stay. The girl at the front desk could have been more helpful by telling us how to get to our room and about when breakfast is etc. We didn't have any packet in our room to tell about the area like most places, but overall it was a nice suite, with frig and microwave which was great to have. Will go back again.

Great place to Stay

We have had our Annual Cousin Weekend here for the last 5 years. Everyone is so nice and Friendly. The rooms are very clean and they will try and accomodate you any way they can. I always suggest to everyone to stay here if you are in Portland, Me. Also the continental breakfast is very good and there is plenty of it. We will be there in May again this year....

Don't bother

A suite sounded great with the kids. The silverware was dirty, as were some of the glasses. We asked for pillows for the pull out and got these terrible pillows that were all bunched like a bag of rags, unsleepable. The pull out had a dirty towel in it, still not sure if the linens were cleaned. Told front desk and they could have cared less. Movies were advertised at $3.00 off, though they did not take it off at the desk.

Staff was nice and prompt in answering questions. Room was spacious and clean. I plan on staying there again and again. Great for business users and family as well.
