A Fantastic Getaway
By Jonnie, 07/06/08
My husband and I stayed here last month on a trip from Columbus, Ohio to Traverse City and then Mackinaw Island. This was by far our favorite place to stay. So clean, so nice and so many things to do! The rooms are beautiful, and the service is not stuffy or snobby at all -- very friendly and helpful! When they found out it was our wedding anniversary, they surprised us with gift cards to the spa, free appetizers and breakfast, a free rose petal bath and bed with towel swans! Free! How fantastic is that? And every evening everyone gathers to watch the sunset and eat smores. My new favorite getaway worth the money!

Top Place to Stay in MI!
By Gracey's Family, 03/25/08
I have stayed in many hotels. The Inn At Bay Harbor is by far my favorite! We have stayed here twice. They made our honeymoon extra special. The concierge was helpful finding a local bakery, John was so nice at check-in, and Annette and Mary made our room beautiful, we felt like we were in a movie! It was a wonderful time! We will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best place to stay ON beautiful Lake Michigan
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
We liked this hotel so much we decided to stay here a second time for a weekend getway. The staff at this hotel are among the nicest I have ever seen. Even in the elavator they ask how your stay is and make small talk with you. They seemed like they truly cared about making your stay the best it could be. The rooms are very nice and clean. My bed was sooo comfortable. There is a wonderful outdoor pool and hot tub. We were there on a 70 degree day but we still went swimming because the pool was warm and it was a lot of fun. There is also a private beach. We enjoyed looking for petoskey stones near the water. There are two resturants at the hotel, Sagamores (a more upscale place) and the South Americal Grille ( a more casual bar). We went to sagamores twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. It was great! For breakfast they have a buffet, which is very good, and they also have made to order breakfasts. This is a great place to stay on Lake Michigan if you want to stay at a newer hotel. I would definitely reccomend this hotel. I cant wait to go back!

Extremely Disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/06
Booked a room at full price. Was given a handicapped-accessible room with no view and no discount. No sympathy from staffers who seemed inexperienced to be handling the Friday evening check-in on their own. Throughout the 3 night visit the hotel made absolutely no attempt to rectify the situation or make it up to us. This was our second visit to this property but we will never stay here again! I'd rather spend my money where I'll actually get what I paid for. Just thinking about it makes me angry.

We look forward to it all year!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/06
If you are looking to be treated like a king/queen for your stay, book this resort now!!! The Inn itself is gorgeous...the view of the bay,the food, especially the breakfast, is fabulous!! The staff that works the cabana by the pool are amazing, and the rooms have the most comfortable, clean bedding! And our kids love it so much that they insist we go there every 4th of July!! They have a fire-pit on the beach so the kids can make smores which the inn provides, and the fire works come off a barge on the water right in front of the hotel! The kids also love the pool and the life size chess game on the front lawn! It's a lovely place to stay!!

What a blast!
By Craig, 09/16/05
This hotel is amazing. The value of the service, experience, and beauty is well worth the price. The view of Little Traverse Bay is breathtaking at sunset.

Why we keep going back--.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/02/05
First, we love Petoskey, and have stayed at many places over the years. We first came to the Inn when it opened, with a great off-season rate! We had one of those beautiful suites with the fireplace, the gorgeous marble bathroom--and best of all, that balcony with the unparalled view. We would sit there in the evening pretending it was all ours! I can`t wait to go back!

Do not hesitate to book this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/05
If this hotel is in the right location for you and within your budget then book it - don't hesitate a moment longer. Throughout our one night stay, from arrival to departure, we felt completely welcome. Nothing, absolutely nothing seemed too much trouble, the staff were a pleasure, our room was perfectly clean, roomy and delightfully decorated. Our stay was peppared with thoughtful touches, scrumptious chocolates to say 'hello', fresh fruit and a chilled flannel appeared whilst basking on the beautiful beach and a nightcap was waiting for us at bedtime - very tasteful and well run hotel, we fully intend to return to be spoilt again!

So close, but to far away..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/05
Located outside of town in Bay Harbor it is a 5-10 minute drive, depending on traffic, into the downtown shopping district. Nothing is walking distance. Otherwise it was okay.

A Weekend To Remember!
By Patty, 05/23/05
The moment we entered the Hotel, the staff greeted you like you have been there many times! They were always asking if we needed anything. It was very clean and well maintained. The restaruants there were excellent! We can't wait to go back!
