Baymont Inn & Suites Asheville, Asheville

During the evening between 11-12 our toilet began overflowing uncontrollably until we were able to reach behind to toilet and shut off the water and of course soaking us in toilet water as we tried to fix the problem. We called down to the front desk to report the problem and were told to come down and get towels as the gentleman at the front desk was the only one there and couldn't leave. Understandably not his fault but there was no offer to switch rooms and we had to walk around in toilet water and dirty towels on the bathroom floor and surrounding carpet for the rest of the night. Woke up in the morning and the carpet was wet all the way up to my side of the bed and had to put on sneakers before getting out of bed. In the morning when we went back down to the front desk again regarding the problem we waited for a few minutes for the manager to arrive. She came up to the room to look at the toilet and the mess and once again with no concern of our well being only the potential damage the flooding was causing for her precious room. When we started to complain that we had no way to take a shower or get ready as the floors were soaked and our dirty toilet water towels were now in the tub. She offered to open up the room next to us for us to shower but said "Don't touch anything else like the bedding or anything" as if we were completely inconviening her. No offer again for a discount on the room or any compensation for our bad experience. The rudeness from the manager was enough to set us over the top as we quickly grabbed our bags and left. Next night we stayed at a different hotel and were much happier. The Quality Inn actually had the proper amenities such as fridge and microwave where the Baymont had the empty space where they should have been but were obviously removed for whatever reason. If given the choice I would choose the Quality Inn over the Baymont Inn every single time!!

The staff was nice, the space was adequate, the 'snacks' were ok, & it seemed clean enough. But, I wouldn't stay there again because of the 25+ year old mattresses that have been recovered & passed off as something fit to sleep on (but they aren't even fit to sit on), wallpaper peeling off of the walls, the a/c units are either high or blasting (no low/med), the mini fridge made noise keeping us up half the night (we should've unplugged it I guess), the furniture was very worn & stained. It's just not up to snuff. It's just not worth the money. I will never stay there again.

Would like a queen size bed. Very clean. Staff was great. Would highly recommend.

Breakfast was very good the service with breakfast staff was very good but not enough room to accommodate alot of people. You have to get there early to get a seat. The Room & bathroom were clean but the bathroom door would not close,the bed slept comfortable and the bed linen was clean but the bedspread had cigarette holes in a nonsmoking room, Front desk staff didn't know how to smile nor gave friendly eye contact.  We got back late the elevator was out of service. Communication with room service was poor. I came back to visit my hometown. I was very disapointed how my own hometown hotel front desk staff at Baymont hotel was not friendly. Asheville overall as I know it welcomes people and the people are very kind. Baymont front desk did not represent Asheville citizens as I know them. I will not visit  Baymont hotel again. Customer service is very important to me in order for me to support your business.

Friendly staff, clean room (and we are picky) and common areas, good location. Only real complaint, is the same at every hotel in the world...bad ice machines

This was a very nice place to stay. The desk clerk was very friendly and informative. It was very close to the Biltmore Estate. Our room was extremely clean and neat, as well as very spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone headed to Asheville.

The location was right near the Biltmore Estate. You can book a package deal that comes with Biltmore Estate tickets, wine, and a gift certificate to the restaurant next door. The breakfast quality was below average.
