Horrible Experience
By Mrs. J, 05/22/09
My husband and I went on vacation down there 2 weeks ago. I was checking rates at several hotels and went into the Best Western to ask some questions about what their rates were for a 2 night stay there. An older polite man answered my questions and then I said thanks and started to walk out to tell my husband who waited in the car. An older lady (I assume was manager) who was standing right next to the man who answered my questions, stopped me and asked me how old I was, so I told her how old I was, which I am 19. She acted like she didnt like my answer. Then she told me how the hotel basically didnt "trust" younger people and how they have had bad experiences with them in the past. Well I was very offended. Personally I think that not all young people are irresponsible, some are very responsible. I told her I was married & still she persisted that we werent trusted simply because we were young. So she wanted a wavor signed, us to pay a 100$ deposit plus pay their nightly rates, and she wanted my husband to come in so she could get to know him better. So I say, "Good Luck, with your silly policies." "They will sooner or later lose you business." We went and stayed at a very nice hotel, for a cheaper rate with NO questions asked about our ages. So young people I do not suggest you stay here at the Best Western unless you want the whole staff watching you like a hawk. Go stay some where else where you can be yourselves.
