Metropolis Inn, Metropolis

I liked the staff. They were friendly and went the extra mile to accomodate us. I have stated here twice before and had no problems at all. The rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. I would recommend the Metropolis to anyone.

when i checked in the guy at the desk gave me 2 different totals then i ask you do have wifi like the big sign says he replies oh yea some people cant get it though what a joke the room was nasty the tub floor was coming apart and of corse no wifi and i even checked with my booster he lied i was tired so i stayed and the morning i was looking forward to the sign that said hot breakfast wow frozen biscuts and a crockpot of gravy dont stay there

Stayed there for an extended 3-month period. Couldn't ask for better, friendlier, or helpful owners and staff. Everything from maid service to front desk was better than I've had at many of the finest hotels around the world... just simpler! I stay there every time I travel to the Southern IL - Paducah KY area.

Stayed here with my mom recently and we were impressed with the comfy lobby and the breakfast. The negative reviewer must be used to pricier hotels...next time fork out a little more if you're the picky type. We thought for an overnight stay it was clean and friendly. We will return when we travel that way again. Loved the cat "Lobby".

Room smelled like bug spray, and god knows what else. Plumbing was not working properly. Other guests looked like a crack/meth convention. Checked out 20 minutes after arriving, refused to refund money. This place has gone to the dogs!!

The service was great, rooms clean, beds comfortable, and the breakfast very good. As I have said above, we have stayed there before, and will be staying there at least 3 more times in the next few months.

It is an older hotel, but you know it was very clean, the service was great. The breakfast was wonderful.They had an indoor pool and it was clean. I don't know if the other person the left a review was just so picky, but for it to be an older hotel it is nice and the price you can't beat it anywhere. We will stay there again
