Horrible location, and WE HAD A FIRE !!!

If you are visiting Mystic, Conn. I highly recommend that YOU STAY IN MYSTIC and not at this hotel in Waterford. They have the word "Mystic" in their hotel name, but this is just hype. It's 1/2 hour drive to Mystic from this location, and it's REALLY COMPLICATED to get to the hotel from anywhere... the exact location of the hotel is difficult to find. AND THERE WAS A FIRE IN THE HOTEL at night because some stupid employee must have left something on in the kitchen that morning. I mean it !!! Heavy smoke all through the hallways, and we all were evacuated and left to stand around outside at night for about 2 hours, while the stupid fire department (which took about 25 minutes to arrive on the scene) fumbled around inside. We got a $40 discount for that night, from having to go through this very uncomfortable experience(the weather was VERY hot and humid that night). BIG DEAL, I think the least they could have done for everyone is give them the night free. I do not recommend this place.

Clean, Comfy and Cheap

We got a pretty good deal, so i think. $105 a night. Room and all around hotel was clean. the Free Breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage patties, make your waffles, hot oatmeal, muffins, bagels, bread, juice OJ and Apple, yogurt and cereal. Room - Kitchenette was cute and very helpful to us. Sitting area was neat to just relax and watch tv. Room had 2 tv's, big plus for me. No complaints, considering we paid average for a pretty cute hotel.

not quite a Marriot

the only positive remark--- it was clean-- location and views are awful- you can hear traffic all night- breakfast wasnt stocked- had to wait 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee and cream cheese, i asked the frontdesk directions to Pfizer- she didnt know and couldn't print anything- so i had to unpack my laptop.I checked out early and stayed in New London by the beach- and paid 1/2 the price. Not what you would expect.

too expensive for 1 night

We didn't like the fact that our room didn't have a closet. We had to hang our clothes on the shower curtain rod. Other than that, the room was nice and the bed comfortable.friends of ours were at a hotel near westport and paid only $89.00 and had meals there .
