Fairfield Inn by Marriott Manhattan, Manhattan

Specifically picked this hotel because it had a pool. The did not tell me when making my reservation it would be closed for cleaning...that would take a week! View of the roof outside my window. Door did not shut tight in my room. Had the light from the hall shining in all night. NOT worth the price that is charged!!

The check-in staff were rude. They were snooty and snobby to the extreme. I wondered if it were a cult, robots or stepford wives running the front desk. And for $109 a night, I expect a bigger hotel than this. It's not any bigger, fancier or more special than your average $69 a night hotel. The pool is small and we were put on the 3rd floor where the vending machine didn't work. Although you are close to everything, it looks like the hotel is secluded in the desert. The outside decor and foliage are lacking big time for the price they charge you and how wonderful they think they are. The check-out staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. I will spend less somewhere else and get treated with more respect and kindness when I check in there. I give this hotel a C-.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

We just attended my daughter's wedding in Manhattan, KS. We chose to block rooms in this hotel first of all because of the location and because check out time was at noon. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating to our whole family. We had a very nice time. My only complaint would be the cost of the rooms. We had hoped that since we were all staying 2 nights and we reserved quite a few rooms, that we would get a larger discount. That didn't happen, but everything else was great!

Professional staff that cares out you the "guest". Their rooms are completely renovated and look very nice. I was especially impressed with the hotel working with "special need" adults.
