Nice People / Hometown Charm
By tim, 7/27/05
Well, What nice people. Though not a name brand hotel it looks like the employees are nice and friendly. The breakfast was good and the value $51.10 was good. The room was very clean. We like to visit the "local flavor" of eating establishments and hotels, B&B's and this was a nice surprise. Next time we come through, we plan to stay here again.

STINK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/05
This hotel should be rented by the hour if you know what I mean. I understand they were renovating the hotel but that gave my room no reason to have that horrible smell in it. the pool was not open. the carpet was dirty and so was the covers. I guess because it was a graduation going on they decided to charge more which is understandable but not for these rooms. the beds had a really thin mattress type of thing on it. ( Very Uncomfortable). I was scared to walk without my shoes on the floor. Trust me take your money somewhere else even if it is 10 or 15 miles from fairfield. I think our relatives in that town should know that this hotel is awful. the air kept going out and when it did come on it made a loud noise all night I could not even sleep good.

A Awful Mess
By Claudia, 5/30/05
When we first arrive we asked for non smoking rooms they had an awful smell in them i went to the store across the street and got some lysol cleaning spray and a candel i asked housekeeping for cleaner blankets because they had stains. I told her I cleaned the bathroom with lysol the only thing that needed to be done was the room part she said ok brought clean blankets when we returned the beds were not made up did not have clean sheets on them. She half done the room nothing was wiped off and I left her a tip. It was like she took my tip and walked away without doing a thing. They had awful smells in the hallway and we payed $60.00 a night during the weekday. I would have rather paid $10 more to feel a lot more comfortable somewhere else

Won't be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/11/05
Our room had no phone; we had an iron but no ironing board. Most importantly, the air conditioner didn't work. The staff happily moved us to another room where the air conditioner worked properly; however, there was no iron or ironing board, the phone didn't work, there was no remote control for the TV, there was no alarm clock, and the electrical outlet in the dressing area didn't work. We got a remote and clock from the front desk. The worst part was when a hotel employee entered our room unannounced at 11 that night while we were sleeping! A few minutes the front desk called (apparently we could receive calls, just not call out) and apologized - they were coming in to get the phone for use in another room! There was a big (bleach?) stain on the carpet and our view was of a dilapidated, empty pool and hot tub.
