What more could you want?
By Bill, 03/09/09
This little motel in Silverthorne is a hidden gem. Rooms were very clean, didn't smell musty, no mold in the bathrooms. Rooms had refrigerators, too. There was a hot tub and sauna but we didn't try those. The owner/operators were super friendly people. They had breakfast for us in the morning (muffins and pastries along with coffee and juice). You can't book this motel on the Web; you have to call them directly. On the downside, the heaters in the room worked too well; they were very difficult to control and we were a lot warmer than we wanted to be. But that's a minor thing to me; overall this was a great little place to stay, and compared to the other name brand hotels in the Silverthorne/Frasier area, you can't beat the prices. Next time I'm up skiing in Breckenridge or Copper I'd definitely stay there again.

great undiscovered place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/09
We stay here frequently when we want to get away from Denver. The owners are a nice couple. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. They are about 1 mile down the road from the interstate and often overlooked as a result. We have been patronizing this location for at least 10 years and have always been happy.

Excellent value, position and people
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/08
The Silver Inn is one of the best value hotels I have stayed at. My wife and I have stayed there 3 times - in fact whenever we visit the area to ski from the UK. We stay for around 10 days each time, and couldn't be happier with the place. The rooms are a good size, well decorated and very clean. The family who own the hotel are on th epremises, and do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. The situation is great, with so many ski areas within a short drive, and there is a good bar that serves great food about 100 metres away. I strongly recommend this place.

The owners were very nice and accommodating, if you needed extra pillows, shampoo or whatever they would get them for you. Very Clean Not fancy, right next to Target

nice folks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/07
The owners are there and terrifically pleasant and easy to deal with. Quiet, clean, up to date. We were there when our car broke down for 3 days, and they were so helpful about where to eat, how to catch the buses, or whatever else we needed.

Cost effecient and clean!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/05
The hotel property was in an excellent location. it was minutes from most of the major ski resorts, restaurants, fast food and gas. the hotel was great for the price for basic amenities which were clean room, friendly service, and perfect ski resort(breckinridge, copper mountain, keystone, and arapahoe basin.) location.

I'm going back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/05
The Silver inn is clean, comfortable, and right in front of the bus route. Although the Silver Inn is not right next to any attractions, the bus route makes traveling without a rental car very easy. I remeber the bus route stopping at Breckenridge and Keystone mountains. I am planning to go back this winter. And I agree, the staff is very nice and accomodating. Family owned and operated. Target is right next door... just in case you forgot something! Very convenient!

ski the summit from here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/05
I stayed here once in the off season (summer). It's a nice place for people who don't want to spend $100 plus for a room. They have a hot tub that we used which was pretty good. It's far enough from the freeway to be quiet, yet still convenient. The only down side I can think of is that it is hard to book a room on-line. This is what I am trying to do right now and I'm not having much luck. From what I remember they have a decent continental breakfast, as do most of the smaller, less expensive places. Local calls are free too. These two items never seem to be offered at the more expensive places. Go figure.

Best deal in the area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/04
The rooms are large with a small refrigerator. Sink is separate from the rest of the bathroom. Very close to expressway with a short, easy drive to Copper Mountain. Owners are very friendly and helpful. They have "bent over backwards" to accomodate our arrival and departure times. Prices are very fair.
