Location was great! The housekeeping staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist. Cannot say the same for the front desk staff. In their defense, I will say they appeared to be understaffed, especially since one of the staff continually tied up flirting with female patrons. We loved the access to the beach but had to pay for chairs, umbrellas, towels if we wanted that "luxary." But hey--we got a $5 discount for sitting in Best Western's chairs as opposed to the other person trying to sell "spots." Washer/Dryers need replaced. I spent four hours drying three loads of laundry (not large ones either). Was suprised that the bathrooms did not have an exhaust fan in them. There are not many places to eat close by so be prepared to pay for a taxi or delivery charges. One last suggestion, check out shuttle and/or taxi rates before you plan to leave, the hotel will use people they have connections with which can be fine. If you don't know the rates--plan on being taken advantage of. We were fortunate to have called for a price and then could negotiate our family's fare. I routinely stay at Best Westerns and have always had breakfast provided as part of the charge. Not here. Overall, this was way too pricey for what we received.

Rude, filthy, NO HEAT !!!!!!!!!!!!

Room was 63 degrees upon arrival. Room stunk of mold. Left room for 4 hours for dinner to return to a room that was 61 degrees. Called front desk and was told heat was broken and we will send extra blankets and a heater. Heater arrived. Hotel person could not speak english as I asked him how do I turn off air conditioning ? I got a.c. turned off only to get in the shower to find the shower head broken and water spraying all over the ceiling in bathroom. At check out next morning staff was soooo rude and said manager was not in. After returning home we contacted manager of hotel. She said we have never had heat. " You should have been here when it was 30 degrees outside". She hung up on me and we are currently disputing all charges and will not let them get a dime.

zero service. il a fallu que nous insistions pour que la chambre et la salle de bain soient nettoyÃ©es. Les employÃ©s vous envoient balader. Toutes les raisons sont bonnes pour vous faire payer encore plus. Hotel Ã bannir. Allez n'importe o'u sur la rue Collins sauf au Best Westen Atlantic qui soit-dit en passant n'a rien d'un resort.

They say parking is $16.00, no its not its $25.00 per night in a parking garage 3 blocks from the hotel!! My children got stuck in the broken elevator for 20 minutes because they did not put a sign on it saying OUT OF ORDER. And we never got an apology or anything. The front desk people aren't friendly at all they are very rude!! And don't speak english very well either!! I was there for 4 days and had to go to Walgreen's 3 blocks away to buy towels because they didn't have enough towels to accomodate all the guests in the hotel!!! I would strongly recommend you go someplace to where your money is appreciated and you are treated with respect.

Hotel is in a rundown part of Miami Beach; plenty of vacant buildings and boarded-up condos. There is no parking available except on the street or local garage at $4/hour. Hotel staff warned us to be careful on Collins Avenue; high crime in area. Some rooms in our party were smoke-filled; staff did nothing. Homeless people were found asleep on our floor. Intruder was arrested on balcony. Rooms are very old, dated and dirty. Be careful; ask about all extra charges and fees. Definitely not worth the money or view. Would definitely not return.

WORST HOTEL EVER!!!

This was definitely the MOST DISGUSTING hotel I’ve EVER stayed at! I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Don’t stay there if you can help it, despite of the low rates!! Atrocious customer service, nauseatingly dirty rooms and pool area, filthy towels and sheets, loud/rude cleaning personnel, horrible valet service, nasty food, only one elevator working. Need I say more?! This hotel needs to be shut down!! Don’t spoil your vacation or business trip – STAY AWAY!!!

WARNING!!!!!!!

Arrived at hotel to find out the hotel was booked and they sent us 20 blocks down the street to Days Inn a dirty old cock-roach infested room. The Atlantic Beach Resort is unreliable and rude. Would not recommend to anyone who wants to know where they are staying.

Not bad...

Pros: Rooms were clean. Bed was comfy-enough. Location was very nice...less than $10 cab ride to southbeach. No problem with parking. Bathrooms were big. Just there overnight, so we never saw the beach or pool. My wife forgot diamond earrings on the nightstand and the housekeeper was honest and returned them to us after checking out. Cons: Forgot our toothpaste...and they didn't have any in the hotel?! That's just weird. Not the most updated place in the area...straight out of the late 80's.

Worst service ever!

I am a senior at Central Michigan University. I went to Miami for Spring Break of March 07. First of all you want to be as close to First street near South Beach as possible. We were located on 41st to far and payed way to much compared to nicer closer hotels. The maids were rude! We asked for extra towels and we were told no. Then we tried to call the front desk to ask and the phone did not work so we dialed out to call the front. We asked for 4 towels and only got 2. Then when we went to leave they charged us a nine dollar fee for calling them. I also asked the price of something and was ignored by a girl who was finishing up her text message. She rolled her eyes at me and we think she made up prices of things because the prices changed randomly. Do not pick this hotel they were awful!!!!!
