Hampton Inn Marion, Marion

I wanted to keep costs as low as possible on my trip to Marion, but I did not want to compromise on safety because I am a female travelling alone. The Hampton fulfilled all my needs and I will be back. I rented a king suite. My room had a microwave, mini fridge, big flat screen TV, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. My room was clean, the hotel seemed safe (definitely not a party hotel) and the staff was friendly. I was given coupons for 2 free drinks to use during the "evening social" which I did not get a chance to use. The hotel is in a good location near Wal-Mart, McDonald's, etc. The room rates were great - the only hotels that were cheaper were Super 8 and a mom and pop place, neither of which had a microwave and fridge. I saved more than the price difference by renting this room and buying microwaveable food from Wal-Mart. I am going back to Marion, IL in a couple months and will stay at the Hampton again. No complaints at all!

Looking forward to jacuzzi tub and swimming some.But the jets in the tub barely worked and the pool was greenish, murky looking, not clean. So our stay was ruined. The bedspread on the bed was also dirty, had dark stain.
