Good value but dont expect much else
By John K, 3/30/09
We showed up with the additude of "what do you expect for $40/night" and that is exactly what we got. Great value....but the kitchen is very small, two burner stove top with only one pot and one pan to cook in (you can request more but there is only one size pot and one size pan). No cooking utensils and no oven (!!!) makes it very difficult to do anything in the kitchen. Hole in the wall, stained toilet, remote didnt work, must giggle lights to get them to work, ugly furniture (locust comforter and fruit drapes). Plus nothing to clean dishes with or scrub dishes clean with. You litterally only get a pot and pan, knife, fork and spoon. OH! And the maid service is only once a week! You can exchange old towels for new ones but they wont do it for you or make the beds on a daily basis. We were disappointed even with our low expectations. We would come here again but we would make sure to bring our own cooking utensils and cleaning supplies.

Unclean, unsafe - never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/08
When we arrived, I was surprised at the smallness of the room, and the worn furniture. There were no hand towels, no washcloths, and no hand soap. There were about 3 hangers in the closet (for an extended stay hotel?). There were crumbs on the carpet. There was one packet of creamer in the coffee basket. The two small ice cube trays were half-full. The condescending girl at the Front Desk said they didn't have ice machines, since the rooms had refrigerators. (I bit my tongue.) When I asked where I could buy some, she said, "There might be a place down the street." Gee, thanks. About an hour after we went to bed, a couple in a nearby room had a screaming, door-pounding fight. We called the Front Desk, who said they'd send someone to check. No one checked, and no police were called. At about 1:30 a.m., the couple were at it again. We called the Front Desk, and the phone just rang and rang. We looked for a phone book to call the police, but there was only a Yellow Pages with no police/fire numbers. Someone must have called 911, because 4 police cars arrived a few minutes later. Believe it or not, neither the police nor the hotel employee removed the couple from the hotel. As of 10:30 a.m., when we checked out, they were finally being "removed". Since we booked through a pre-paid website, the manager refused to give us a refund, but did give us a certificate for a complementary night's stay. Good thing the certificate included all of the company's brands, because we sure won't be staying there again. Oh, and the lack of housekeeping supplies in the room was explained away as a late housekeeping shipment. Since the hotel wasn't full, maybe someone could have snagged some from other rooms.

Ewwwwwww
When Ya check in look for the attendant to be zipping up his fly in order to process your arrival. Smokey Smokey Smokey, I felt like I was sleeping in a forest fire. Noisy at night and not in a good part of town. Just plain yuck

Don't pick this one!
By A, 3/27/06
It does not look like that in the picture, it is a dump. There is not even a hair dryer in the room. It does not feel safe.

Rapid decline in property condition
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/06
Service was good, however the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the remote for the tv di dnot work, two light switches did not work, and the toilet seat cover did not fit right. We have stayed here before and was always satisfied. I was very disappointed in the rapid deterioation of the property.

Still kind of cheap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/26/05
I spent sixteen days here in November/December 2002 for just under $500. That's under $32/day. I got the room through lodging.com, but that rate is history. It only has the most basic amenities, but it's close to everything, so it's not such a big deal. Get a bus map early, as there is a stop right at the end of the parking lot, and the fare is $1.25, w/valid transfer for 2 hrs. The bus will take you to and from the airport in about an hour. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance (Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, of course, and a burger and beer joint), as well as an amusement park within a 5 minute bus ride. The Metrocenter mall is close by, and access to I-17 is less than a mile away. This place was a bargain. Now?

Average hotel room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/19/05
Room was fine. Location close to highway. Fire alarm went off at 3 AM for 1/2 hour. Didn't get much sleep before getting up at 5 AM to catch my flight. At least the alarm was working.
