Holiday Inn Express Hershey, Hummelstown

Several reasons why we won't stay here again. My main complaint is that after I checked in I discovered the televisions in the entire hotel were not working. We were not told about this at check in. I had 2 rooms with children in both. I wanted to change hotels but they said they would charge me $189.00 ( the price of one of the rooms) to do so. We stayed and the TVs never worked. What happened to customer service?? This hotel is given 3 AAA red diamonds. This is not deserved and I will be contacting AAA about this. The room was also way over priced. This is a 1.5 star hotel at best-even if the TVs would have been working. I have stayed in hotels near Disney World that are nicer and cheaper that this one.

i went to hershey park last year with my camp and stayed in this hotel, and i am going back next week. it was pretty good- the staff was nice and friendly considering there were 45 rowdy teenagers (the camp i was with) in their hotel, you get a fridge and a microwave in the room, the breakfast was good, and it was only about a mile (3 minutes) from hershey park, and the outlets were only about 5 minutes away. the bad things: the pool was extremely small, the breakfast area is very small, there is lots of steep stairs and the elevator is very cramped and slow, so don't bring lots and lots of luggage. also the corridors are rather narrow. but other than that it was very good. the thing is, it's a hotel that's meant to be for quick stays and not long vacation stints. that's why it's not a grand five-star hotel, and more of a business-trip or overnight stays. so don't plan on staying there for your week-long vacation with a large family. but i would definitely recommend it for short trips- worth the time and money. :)

We were greeted by reception in a very professional manner, they were friendly and made us feel right at home. Everything was clean. The room we had was near the eating area and we never heard any noise when they started at 6AM. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends and family.

The hotel was very clean. The front desk manager was VERY rude. We booked a room in 2months before our trip to Hershey and we booked a King size bed for our anniversary stay. We got to the hotel and we were the only car in the parking lot. We got up to our room to notice that there were 2 queen size beds and not the room we chose. We went to the front dest where the manager was and explained the miscommunication. The lady was VERY rude and not willing to try and make our stay as nice as possible. She told us all of the KING rooms were booked and we never told them we wanted a king size bed. Which was not true. Our TV in our room was nothing but static on every channel and the remote didnt even work. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but ended up leaving after the first night because we were so upset that they were unwilling to get us the room we ORIGINALLY paid for. The alarm clock went off in our room at 730AM BLASTING. WE didnt even TOUCH the alarm and didnt get in the room until late the night before so I was NOT very happy to hear the alarm BLARING in my ear at 730AM. Breakfast was only until 930AM. We went down at 845am and half of the food was gone. The food was awful. Iv stayed at MANY MANY Holiday INN expresses in MANY different Cities because they are usually very nice. This was a VERY VERY dissapointing stay and Im pretty sure i will NEVER go back to Hershey for this reason. Everything they show on the pictures is MUCH further from the hotel then what they say. It was our first and LAST trip to Hershey and was VERY dissapointing. I would NOT stay and this hotel AGAIN. THe manager on duty was no WILLING to make our stay as satisfying as possible.

We try to get to this hotel every year if we can, in the middle of winter. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is very clean and has all the things someone would need to be comfortable such as microwave, mini-refrigerator, internet access, TV....just to name a few. The breakfast is wonderful with a variety of foods to chose from. The pool & hot tub are clean and well kept. Even the running of the trains behind the hotel adds its own unique tones. And it is so close to Hershey Park and the Hershey Outlets.And there are many restaurants nearby for nightlife. Can't wait to visit again!

If you like trains, you'll love this place. A freight train roars by about every 2 hours, day and night...sounds like a jet landing in your room. I hope Holiday Inn got the land cheap, because this is a terrible location for a Hotel. A very active rail line passes right behind the hotel. I won't stay there again. Sleepless

I liked this place because of the Breakfast Buffet. I also liked the tables there. We were able to bring in Pizza and Wendy's and sat at those convienent tables. The pool and the whirlpool were great. It is an awsome hotel!

Stay at this hotel the staff is great they try and do everything for you...they will always try to meet your needs...and if ur not satisfied they will either try to fix it or give you a refund on that part...But i will stay at that hotel again...The staff is the greatest the rooms are nice... Keep up the good work...
