Comfort Inn Collinsville, Collinsville

I wasn't sure what to expect after some of the reviews, but our room at least, was really clean. (Room 322). We wanted a place with a pool and a hot tub, so we could visit with family over Thanksgiving. This place is great for groups or families as it has room in the center of the dome for sitting around talking at tables, games for the kids and of course the pool, which was the warmest indoor pool I've swam in. The hot tub was a little too hot. Our room was a King Suite, and I checked the tubs, liner, sheets, etc before agreeing to stay. I am quite picky, but it was all good. My only complaint is that the light in the bathroom is awfully dim for showering and putting on makeup. The King room was $20.00 higher than the reg. room rate, but since other hotels were offering Kings at the same rate as their doubles, I asked the manager for the regular room rate and got it. It turned out to be a suite, with a TV in the common area an another in the seperate bedroom, which was great when my husband and I wanted to watch two different shows. The bed was comfy and the pillows were feather I think. The breakfast area has kind of an echo because of the dome, but nothing I'd complain about unless there were children running around screaming or something, which there weren't. I would still definitely stay here again, we thought this place was great! Oh, there is a musty smell to the elevator, probably from people leaving the pool area wet and getting on the elevator.
