Country Inn and Suites Greeley, Greeley

I chose this motel because of it's location in Greeley and government rate. The location was convenient and quiet, the service was excellent, the room was clean.

I thought it was sour grapes when I saw the review about the odor in this town. I was wrong, it really smells. The staff at the hotel is very nice, they do really try. The rooms are okay the A/C is not strong enough to cover the entire suite. Our toilet backed up but they had no staff avalable to fix it. Nor did they have another room. The staff did advise us that we would be welcome to come down to the lobby and pick up the plumbers helper. My wife was in tears. I called them back myself and within a minute all was right in the world. A number of other hotels are in the area. I would have moved but the town was booked because of some bluegrass event. I wish them well, but never again.

We just stayed for unfortunately only 1 night. We intitially had booked 2 nights at the Best Western in downtown Greeley, which was the worst hotel experience ever. So, we checked out after only one night and luckily found the Country Inn had a room available ( lucky indeed the RMR Showdown Volleyball tournament had most rooms in town booked ). We loved the Country in, the staff was outstanding, I have never ever gotten such courteous service anywhere, the Continental Breakfast was great, the ladies in the breakfast room actually greet you with a cheery Good Morning. The only drawback is there are only 2 Country Inns in Colorado. From now on, anywhere we travel, we'll make sure there is a Country Inn first before booking with another chain.
