910 Beach Ave Apartment Hotel, Vancouver

Very clean place good location two or three blocks from city across the street from city.Good price $90 a night .Looking foward to stay again

The only thing I liked about The Meridian was the price -- on the night we stayed there it was more than $100 less than any other hotel in the West End, and after we stayed there we understood why. The air quality was horrible, the rooms were very noisy, the battered mini-blinds don't darken the room at all, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, there was no way to cool the room which was very hot even though the temperature outside was around 15C, and the person at the front desk was rude and arrogant. My wife and I stayed at the Meridian a couple of years ago and had a similar experience, but unfortunately I had forgotten this and booked the room. This hotel should be avoided at all costs.

I read the reviews about the Meridian through Yahoo! before booking well in advance, and all I can say is…this place is GREAT! We stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse (large) for 3 nights. The neighborhood is very nice and it has access to every part of Vancouver. You can walk to downtown in less than 10 minutes and you are also less than 200 yards from the water taxi and sea wall. The beds were very comfortable and the room was always cleaned thoroughly. It had a nice fireplace and very large living room, kitchen, dining area and also 2 separate balconies. It has underground parking with a key only access garage that will keep your vehicle very safe. The staff was also very nice and greeted us every time we passed by them. This is no doubt the BEST deal in Vancouver.

This was truly the answer to a mother's every wish. We were in Vancouver for our daughter's wedding and wanted a place for convenience, comfort and entertaining. Our suite (1 bedroom deluxe) was everything we hoped it would be. I coked every night, with fresh produce and meat from Grandville Island, and they provided a crib so that our granddaughter could have naps when she stayed with us. My husband was in his glory to be able to go out and walk and get glorious pictures with his camera when the weather cooperated! The absolute ONLY thing that was a downside was the dryer that did not work and the technician was not available until the day we left. Jason at the front desk was an absolute doll. He was very accomodating with every special request we had. If we ever need this type of accomodation in Vancouver again, we will certainly choose the Meridian.
