Avoid this Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/06
I spent 11 miserable nights at Extended Stay America in Carnegie, PA, and I would never do it again. First, the hotel is only accessible from I-279 west. If you're traveling east, you have to go up to the next exit, get off, turn around, get on I-279 west, and go back to get to the hotel. If you leave the hotel to and your destination is to the west, you can only get on I-279 east; then, you guessed it, you have to drive up to the next exit, get off, turn around, and get on I-279 west. Second, since the hotel is located only about 100 yards from the interstate, and there's a steep downhill grade, the passing 18-wheelers will treat you to a jake brake symphony all night long. Finally, I paid the extra fee for "high speed" internet access, but what I got was an unreliable, dial-up slow (4 kB/s download speed) connection. I was highly disappointed with my stay at Extended Stay America in Carnegie, PA.
