Served its purpose for a short business trip
LOCATION: Just minutes from the airport, and right across the street from Texas Instruments, the location was great for my business trip.
However, for those traveling for pleasure, a more central location might be preferred. While the hotel does offer a free shuttle within 4 miles, there didn't seem to be much in terms of entertainment nearby.
DINING: There is no restaurant in the hotel. The closest place is down the street, Morgans inside the Clarion Hotel. It is within reasonable walking distance (not "right" next door as their website implies), past a large undeveloped field. As a single female traveler, I'd recommend asking for the hotel shuttle after dark.
There is a complimentary breakfast buffet each morning until 9:30am. Coffee, juices, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, pastries and more. Don't miss the cinnamon rolls...they are the best!!!
The hotel also hosts a weekly happy hour on Wednesdays from 6-7pm. I was pleasantly surprised to find, in addition to a small selection of beer and wine, there was also a pretty decent spread of food available. Easily enough to make a light dinner out of.
SERVICE: The front desk employees could have been a little friendlier. I felt like I was imposing on them by asking a question or asking for the shuttle. The shuttle drivers were all very helpful and friendly though.
ROOMS: I was in a smoking room, so the ability to open the screened windows was appreciated. The room itself was spacious with a king-sized bed, desk area with comfy leather chair, and a sitting area complete with ottoman. There was also a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge that came in handy for bringing back leftovers from dining out.
Complimentary high speed internet was a big plus! I stayed in a 3rd floor room, near the elevator, and was able to use the wireless connection with great success.
