Comfortable-Clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/12
We like the view and the location. We have stayed here quite a few times and always when having to come back to this area this is were we stay. The staff has been courtious and helpful if we have needed anything. It is quite, clean you know when you arrive after being on the road you need a place to rest. The boardwalk is not far for an afternoon walk or to sit and enjoy the sights.

NASTY OLD STINKY UNKEPT RUN DOWN MOTEL!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/11
DIDN'T LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS MOTEL! STAFF WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL FROM THEIR ATTIRE TO THEIR ATTITUDE! ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I HAVE LEFT BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THIS PLACE ON SO MANY SITES SO NO-ONE WILL GET STUCK HERE! THIS IS AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE KEMAH AREA. IF YOU ARE A TOURIST - PLEASE DON'T JUDGE US BY THIS MOTEL. PLEASE CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY. THE BRAND NEW HOLIDAY INN IS GREAT FOR JUST A FEW DOLLARS MORE.

Worst customer service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By Tina, 4/30/11
4/28/2011....Just tried to rent 2 rooms for 1 week at your rates published on your web site. 1. I had to call 3 times before the rude man answered 2. He was very rude when he did come to the office 3. You have a hotel sitting completely empty and he refused to rent to us at YOUR advertised rate! He lost income to your company for a week! On 2 rooms! What a jerk you have leasing for you! I have been a property manager for 20 years and have never seen any thing like him. Do you wonder why your income is down?? I plan to re-post this on every travel site I can find. You may want to consider more customer service oriented management. 4/30/2011 FYI... We will be in the area working for 3 weeks, with now 5 rooms rented for additional workers....Your poor customer service made your company lose lost of $$$$

I Am in love with this hotel...
By Abigail, 6/8/10
The staff is extra friendly when you get there. They recognize you by face if you've stayed several times like we have. We just stayed there this week and they have painted the hotel and I really like that Parrott Green they chose. It stands out now and you really can notice the place. It looks like they are adding some sort of deck to the back side they were out there working on it the day we left and it looks like it is going to be a really nice space once its finished. The rooms are comfortable, and they've been adding amenities like this time we noticed they had hair dryers which they hadn't had before. Of course the alarms and irons too are there. They also have these pretty new bedspreads that really compliment the rooms very well with the dark blue accent wall. I love that idea and I am looking into gettting that done in our bedroom at home. The pretty blue accent wall I mean. The location cannot be beat, its only a few minutes from everything. We always like to go out and drink a few glasses of beer and Molly's Pub is perfect for that.

Wonderful Experience
By Brandon, 3/20/10
It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The staff at check in were helpful and friendly. The Cleaning staff did a good job and the breakfast served was fairly deccent for continental, we expected a donut and coffee but were surprised to see several food options. The hotel room was nice clean and looked up to date. The desk was huge so we had plenty of room to spread out the few spread sheets I had to go over for work. The mattress was quite comfortable in our room. There was even a sofa to sit on to watch TV. There seems to be plenty of things to do in the area and certainly lots of places to dine. So we had a real nice time. The hotel even offered us a coupon for free appeteizer at check in. I would definately say this hotel is a nice place to stay compared to the more expensive options around. My buddy stayed in one of the hotels there and payed double what I did the rooms were not really that much different.

looking forward to returning in a couple months
By Cheryl J, 4/22/09
They are working on this property right now. So it appears they are planning some updates. The clerk told me to expect some changes in the next few weeks. They even gave us a discount rate. I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Check in was swift and painless. We asked about a good restaurant. Were given tthree options. Chose the greek restaurant and it was excellent. Very pleased with the reccomendation. The only real complaint I had was that the bed spreads looked a bit worn. The place was clean smelled very fresh and bed was comfortable. We stayed two nights and were able to see several sites in the area. We really enjoyed it. We plan to go back and definately want to take the dinner cruise on the yacht. It sounded really nice and fun.

Nice quaint place by everything...
By Cheryl J, 5/20/08
THe location is excellent. You can walk to all the restaurants and bars within minutes. The staff was friendly and recommended lots of things to do. I noticed complaints about cleanliness and carpeting. The carpet looks new and is very soft when you walk on it. The hotel is clean just some minor dust issues here or there but definately clean. The three days we stayed the housekeeping staff were prompt and helpful. of course you can stay at one of the other kemah locations and pay almost 150 to 200 bucks more per night. From what I hear from friends those places are not really that much nicer so why waist the money. First time I visited kemah we did stay at one of the other places and found that Passport Inn has a better feel. The continental breakfast is nice and open pretty late for hotel breakfast. they have fresh fruits and assorted pastries. It isn't the same thing every day. My only complaint was that they have no space available for sittting outside to enjoy the beautiful sunrises. It would be nice to have a nice area to sit outside and just enjoy yourself.

Unprofessional Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/07
Most of the stories sound the same -- broken promises, refusal of refunds, unprofessional management, etc. How in the world can a hotel like this right outside of the Kemah boardwalk stay in business is beyond me. I had the horrible experience of booking their offsite location (bayhouse) and could not get my refund nor anyone to speak to me about it! It was filthy and creepy to boot! there was urine in the toilet left by other tentants along with windows left wide open for anyone to enter. The appliances were rusted out and the place was filthy. HORRIBLE PLACE and dishonest, unprofessioanl staff and management!!!!!

rude employee
By Terry, 6/29/07
I stayed at this hotel on 6-28. When I left I forgot my personal pillow. I live only 20 minutes away so I I called to advise I would be there to pick it up. I spoke with a women who put me on hold for 30 minutes and then hung up on me. I called back and she hung up on me again. I called back and she refused her name and refuse to answer if there was anyone checked into room 101 at this time. She hung up on me again. I called back and once again she refused to give me her name and hung up. I know that the pillow is there and she is refusing to give it to me. Its really kinda gross that someone would want someones personal pillow. Any way I have stayed here before but will not do it again. I can not beleive an employee can make such a bad impression on a person. I know I should not have forgotten the pillow but please there is no reason to be rude about it. Its a simple question is the pillow there? (YES IT IS) Is there anyone in the room right now????. Probably not. I expect a response about this and an explanation for the rude employee. I called her at 5"11pm on June 29th. Please respond. Ms. Burleigh
