A fairly nice stay, for a reasonable price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/08
The staff was helpful at check-in and check-out. The maid service was very nice. The pool area is attractive and somewhat private but they were cleaning it while I was at poolside... I guess they have to do it sometime! We plan to go back to this motel again.

RUDE, RUDE, & NON-PATROTIC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/07
Tired, wet, & cold on a bike trip to reunite with my Active Duty Husband, I found a place to stop. I was charged a 3 to 4 star price for a dirty room and Rude Management! The person behind me was a CDL Trucker and recieved a $50 discount. I was told that "Best Western did not care about the military"! Shame to those who disrespect and disreguard the sacrafices of the Military and their families! They shead sweat, blood & tears, and much seperation from loved ones to give places like this the "freedom" to take advantage Americans. NOT RECCOMENDED TO ANY ONE (unless you too have a CDL lisc in your pocket)

Clean & Modern room with Courteous Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/12/07
This hotel appeared to have been recently renovated. Both the room and breakfast area were found to be clean and modern (with new furniture, etc.). The hotel staff were friendly and courteous during both check in and check out times. "Wake up call" rang in room at exact time requested. 02/10/07

Not the Greatest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/15/07
We have stayed in this Best Western twice. First time. Good visit. Second time. A disaster. Specifically: Roooms were dirty. My cousin and I had to move to other rooms. My sister's room had no phone service or plug ins that worked on one side of the room (had to move to another room). My brother's room did not have a safety latch on it. There were 3 adults in the room with towels for only two adults. The front desk would not answer phone call. Walking to the desk revealed the clerk talking on a cell phone. I asked why he did not answer and he said he was helping a customer (I told him that it could be an emergency -- hummm!). None of the wake up calls were received in three days (even after complaining to the clerk). The maids came by in the morning and demanded the dirty towels, we told them we would be out of the room in 10 minutes, nope, give us the towels now. The wash cloths in my brother's room was dirty, looking like it was used to clean a really dirty floor. The fruit in the breakfast bar was old. Other than that it was OK. Cheers, GB

Had to wait for towels to be taken out of dryer. No coffee pot. was told to run hot water over filter into cup. Bathtub was filthy and took rag and wiped tub and it was black. No remote for tv Could not get internet. Signal too low. sheets had black stain. No ice bucket. Did not have continental breakfast. was afraid to.

Stay at your own RISK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/06
I made a reservation at this hotel with "internet access" as a requirement due to the type of work I perform. When I checked in, I was assigned to a room which did not have a desk and chair. I was told that they are in the process of renovation (there was a lot of construction/destruction going on). I was given another room and this one did not have a strong signal (they are wireless). I was told that I was too far away and given yet another room closer to the office where the hub was. That room had electrical cords (very small ones - underrated for the electrically load) and the light in the bathroom did not work. I called the front desk and was instructed to leave the switch on and it would blink on and off. Probably had a short in the connection. I noticed many safety infractions and decided that I was not going to place myself in harms way at this facility. I went to the office and informed them that I could not stay at this hotel under those conditions and that if I would have know about the construction going on, I would not have made the reservation. Several weeks later, I noticed that my credit card was charged for the room rate and I filed a complaint with Best Western. I was informed by customer service that this hotel was privately owned and there was nothing they could do. Some corporate support!!!! Not recommended to anyone. If you have to pull of the interstate there, you're better off sleeping in your car.

WILL RIP YOU OFF!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/05
I made reservations while awaiting a call back from the hotel for managers clearance to operate a BBQ grill on the hotel grounds. I recieved my call back within a few minutes saying I could not operate the grill o hotel property. I was ok with the descision but cancelled my reservation to go elsewhere. Two weeks later I was browsing my credit card bill online and seen I was charged anyway. The hotel refused to credit my account even with me having a cancelation number from them. I am now taking the steps with the credit card company to refuse payment as well as contacting regional management. Also the price advertised is not the price charged.

Are You Sure You Don't Have Anywhere Else To Go?
By Scarlette_Wolverine, 05/23/05
Best Western of Breaux Bridge is utterly average. The price is too steep to pay for an unremarkable experience. The swimming pool may or may not have fresh water (depending on the day you swim, the cable is workable, continental breakfast consist of fruit, bagels, coffee/tea, and/or cereal. If you're looking for a great hotel to tell your friends about, this is not it. However, if you can't travel another mile and just need a place to crash, this is the place for you.
