Security Issues/Unprofessional Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/09
The hotel was clean, convenient to restuarants and shopping. I was a woman traveling alone and the hotel staff (man) gave out personal information about me, my room number, my whereabouts as well as checking my automobile that was in the parking lot, to a person they did not and could not officially verify. This particular staff member even went so far as to enter my room on several ocassions as well, with no justification whatsoever.
Apparently this staff person (man) continued to stalk me and my activites after I had checked out of the hotel. He gave out personal information and went as far as to provide hotel video of me while was still a guest, after check-out to a third person. Which I will add, was nothing. Going to and from my room and going to the front desk to have my room key re-keyed. Because the staff person (man) had changed the code! Unbelievable.
When this information was presented to the manager (woman). She had no problem with the activity, so it appears that this is something that routinely occurs at this particular hotel. She was rude and extremely unprofessional in her manner and how she did not handle the situation, being as I was the paying guest.
I would not EVER reccommend staying at this hotel to anyone in the area. There is a very nice Hilton Garden Inn located about 30 minutes South in Tallahassee, Florida and the stafff there is exceptional and regard the security of a woman traveling alone as something to be cautious about. You will feel safe and secure there. The 30 minutes would be well worth the drive and piece of mind to anyone.
