Holiday Inn Express Waynesboro, Waynesboro

The property has been revamped, beautiful everything :) and the value is awesome for the size rooms you get! Our son goes to Fishburne Military high school in the area, and we live 3-hours away...we stay here every time :)

this place is a big joke and the review from 2007 dont help any that was 3 years ago alot can change in 3 years the romm i was in had cob webs on the ceiling and had a awful smell like dog poop and i though they didnt let pets stay there why would the health board let a hotel like this stay open.about a year ago my friends in fla cam thru and stayed there and said that the girls where talking about the rooms having bed bug or some kinda bed bugs could have been crabs i cant stand to think i slept there over night

me and my husband stayed here on our way from tn we stayed here before many times and have always had a plesent stay but things have changed to start with our check in was nice like always we went to our room the door key did not work so we went to the fornt desk and they where very nice and fixed it was no big problem we did notice many light bulbs out in the halls on the way back and the carpet looked like had not been vac in long time just figured they where busy than i opened my room and realized it was not just the halls that was not being cleaned this was a big suprise to us we always stay here 3 times a year and always had a great clean room so let me tell you about my room i opened the fridge to find someones left overs from cracker barrel the bath tub looked like someone washed there dog in it there was enough hair on the floor to make my husband a topa was this room even cleaned i asked my husbad he is not one to complain and said we are just staying the night lets just go to the pool take a swim and go to bed he said they must have been really busy this is the first time this is happened out of all the times we been here i said yes you are right lets go for a swim and we got changed and went to the pool took a nice swim got out to find out there where no clean pool towles and the hotel was not busy we where the only ones there swimming at the time my husband got some towles from the frot desk and we went back to our room got ready for bed pulled back our covers to find that the bed had not been changed( looked like someome had bleed in it) i was tired and mad what has happend to this place i asked my husband he said maybe its new mangment luckly we had a double and it was clean we went to sleep woke up was getting ready than we heard this woman talking hatfull i thought it was some one talking to her kids but to my suprise it was the housekeeping manager talking to one of her housekeepers telling her she needed hurry up she was to slow she was not making her bed right in a very hateful way i would not talk to my dog like that and if i was that girl i would have quit right there i listend for a while and she did not know.(what kind of managment do you have working here )on my way out she asked me very nicley how was my stay here name tag said denise i just said fine i said what do you do here she said she was head of house keeping i was so mad and upset i just want to get out of there and never come back if that woman is in charge of the cleaning i never want to stay there again the way she talked to that girl and the cleanlyness of that place makes me sick so i bit my tounge and we left the hotel and went next door to the extended stay to make reservations for our next trip threw town i went in and my husband stayed out to set the gps on the car while waiting on me ( i took longer than expected because i was telling the woman at the front desk about my stay at the holiday inn express and she said she knew because she use to work there and she left because of the way that woman treated her coworkers i dont blam her) any way he got out the car to check the fluids and what ever a man does before a long trip my husband said he smelled pot smoke and he looked over the wall and the same woman(the hatefule one) and a black employee sitting in a tan suv smoking what looked like a tobbaco pipe but smelled like pot ( me and my husband grew up in the 60's so we do rember what pot smells like ) i think your hotel is losing alot of bussness because of things like this i am sure a drug test would take care of that woman who said she was head of housekeeping i guess if your high at work than your not going to get your job done and you rooms are not going to get clean and as long as she gets away with it than i know i wont be back i dont understand how someone getting high can be so hateful i though smoking pot calmed you down i hope you make some changes and take a good look at your management its losing you bussness!!!!

I wanted a getaway for my grandchildren and read the great reviews this hotel had,so I booked here. I was very disappointed with the attitude of the desk staff and maintanance man related to the cold pool temperatures. The maintance man said it was warm enough at 77 degrees.I asked him why all of the children were in the hot tub-8 of them-instead of in the pool,if it was warm enough?He blew me off...and didn't seem concerned the hot tub was full of youngsters. The manager played dumb,as if she didn't know of the problem. I checked online, and the normal indoor pool temps are 82-86 degrees.I was very disappointed with their attitude,especially after reading their policy of "we will make it right",posted in our room. We will not stay here again,and will let our friends know of the poor service also.

My friend and I had to make an unexpected stop due to finding ourselves driving right into the middle of the Virginia Blizzard the week before Christmas. We were so frustrated to interrupt our trip, but the Holiday Inn staff was amazing!! They went above and beyond to make all the stranded travellers as comfortable as possible. KUDOS to you all :)

This Holiday Inn Express has everything you could ask for and more. We have stayed at other HIE's and found this one to be the best!

Rooms nice and clean. Spoke with the Assistant Manager and she was very pleasant. Great front desk. They obviously take great pride in their hotel. Hot breakfast is wonderful! We like the movie. Can't wait to go back!
