Highlight Of Our Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/31/11
Our second time to stay at the McKinley Princess Lodge and we loved it! Although a ways away (Building 25) from the Lodge, the shuttles came by often and we loved talking to our driver who gave us so much information. Loved the views and restaurants. Nothing to dislike about it.

trust me, I worked here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/07
The lodge is nice, but I would have expected more from Princess. But alot of guest were amazed by it. Honestly I would be alittle upset if I spent that much money. The rooms don't have a/c, and yes it does get hot in alaska, June and July are the only hot months, 70F-80F. The main lodge is pretty nice, but once again, I would expect more from princess. Its decor is ok, its really clean, lots of room, huge fireplace, high ceilings in someplaces, nice deck, free wireless internet, computers, plenty of stuff to do. The property is spread out but there is a shuttle, although some rooms can't be reached by the shuttle. Most of the lodges are built on an incline so you may have to walk uphill. Its fairly easy to find you're way around property. Don't expect to see a bear or a moose that rarely happens. Umm... so is a McKinnley sighting. Most of the time its cloudy or there are clouds around the peak of the Mountian, because of the elveation fast winds and other things I really don't know about, the mountain creates its own clouds. But I saw it about 50% of the time. The reastaurants are good. the 20320 is my favorite. 20320 is kinda like Chilli's, casual dinning with a bar. The Mountain View is fine dining. The cub cafe is the worst. Really all the reastaurants serve the exact same food, except for the mountain view, and there isn't much of a choice, but maybe thats because I was there for 5 months. If you want variety take the talkeetna shuttle, the nearest city with anything interesting. There are some way cool tours. the Jet boats and flight tours were my favorite. The staff is amazing, friendly and willing to do anything to help. I loved working there. The food is good. We're also the highest rated Princess Lodge and definately the best lodge you're going to find any where between fairbanks and anchorage. Its a great lodge. Well I really hope my review was usefull.

What a view!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/06
We loved this place for two reasons - the location (we were lucky - Denali was out in bits and pieces for our trip, and the staff - very friendly and accommodating. Lots of dining choices, but unless you have your own vehicle, there are no choices other than at the Lodge, as it is a remote lodge, some 20 miles from the closest "town". Staff was very courteous and this was a great place to sit back and relax. Ahhhhhhhh. Thank you!

great view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/06
The hotel had a nice room, really friendly and helpful staff. I would return as many times as I can. Even for us Alaskan residents the view is great.
