great hotel!!!!
By ,
Would highly recommend the holiday inn express in Tahlequah. Staff was very polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable and had a large tv. I usually don't eat continental breakfast at hotels but this one was very good and had a nice selection.

Death Iin The Family
By ,
My sister passed away just before my intended stay with this hotel, so I forgot to cancel my reservation. As you can imagine, it was the last thing on my mind. I realized later that they'd charged me for a 'no show.' It took me calling the hotel 3 times, even though I left messages for the manager to call me back, before I got any response from them. I had explained my situation, that my sister had died and that's why I forgot to cancel my reservation, not to mention this was 2 weeks before Christmas, so you can also imagine the hardship it put on me trying to buy gifts for my children, after having to miss work for the funeral, and all the manager could say was 'there's nothing we can do.' I expressed my feelings on their lack of compassion, and she just sat quietly on the phone and gave no response what so ever. All I could do was hang up. But I will certainly never make a reservation with this hotel again. You cannot foresee what tragic events might take place in your life, so if you don't want to pay $93 for a hotel you forgot to cancel due to something like this, DO NOT book with this hotel!

Pleasantly suprised!
By ,
First, I NEVER write reviews on hotels. But seeing as I did all my research for this trip online and from reviews, I decided perhaps this would help someone else! The family and I we're staying in town for the balloon festival. We had two rooms and both rooms were exactly as the pictures online showed, up to date and styled very nice. I thought since the smoking room was just that, smoking, it would be dirty and dingy. It did have the aroma of cigerette smoke, but thats to be expected. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Other than some scuffs on a couple walls you could tell housekeeping did thier job very well. Natali(sp) did an incredible job on taking care of all my families needs. The price was very fair and I had no hidden charges. We decided to stay an extra day and just sit by the pool since we were having such an enjoyable time! There was no problem accomodating our extra night and it was as simple as a phone call to the front desk! Upon check-out Merrisa(sp) checked us out and was very nice. Overall, if you decide to stay in Tahlequah and have to stay in a hotel, this is the best place to stay!

take plenty of money
By ,
I was over charged and they do not seem to care. all I get is the system did it. Evidentally the hotel is being ran by a computer system and just and the employees have no control. I was doublecharged and yea, the system did it

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
By ,
I booked my room for one night on oklahomahotels.org where I was charged in full for my stay. I checked into hotel and went to my room, where there were NO TOWELS, asked multiple times for them, NEVER RECEIVED ANY. Then as I checked out the next morning, I discovered they had charged my account twice for the room, I contacted them daily for over 4 days before I ever spoke to a assistant manager, she was very rude, and refused to tell me who the upper management was. I am turning them into BBB and Attonery General. I still yet have received my refund, and now it is at a total of over $400 for a one night stay in a NASTY HOTEL!!! I would not reccommend this place to anyone!!!

Cleanliness
By ,
We reported a major mildew problem on the skirt and sheets of one bed. When the front desk was notified no offer was made to give us a new room. When we visit Tahlequah, we will never stay at the Holiday Inn. Nor will we recommend the Holiday Inn to others. Hiram B. Cooper, 54 Sable Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72715

Kids' Suite Left a lot to be desired
By ,
I sincerely hope that other rooms in the hotel were cleaned better then the Kids' Suite we stayed in. There was a water bottle under one of the bunk beds and chewing gum stuck to the end of the same bed. The sheets on both bunk beds were severerly wrinkled leading us to question whether the sheets had even been changed. The lotion bottle was only only 2/3 full. There was other small debris strewn about the floor that should have been vacuumed. The cable tv plate was torn clean off the wall. The window sill was filthy and there were several cobwebs in the room. The breakfast was wonderful though and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

Visiting Family
By ,
We showed up for a surprise visit to my sister. She recommended this hotel and we loved it. They did not frown at the loud 3 yr old boy with us as some places do. The room was very clean and the beds firm enough to sleep on. There are ice machines on both floors so you don't have to do a lot of walking to find ice or a pop in the middle of the night. We swam in the pool and was never bothered by staff when the 10 yr old screamed/laughed too loud. I didn't feel like swimming so I sat on the deck chairs and enjoyed watching the fun. Towels were provided. You have to watch the kiddies because there is no lifeguard but signs tell you as you enter the room. The morning breakfast was delicious. I love boiled eggs but hate cold ones that taste like vinegar. Their eggs were were not ice cold and I could eat one without cringing. It was a modest breakfast but well worth the price. The staff even turned the tv to a cartoon for the kids to enjoy as they ate their breakfast. They didn't hover over the 3 yr old as he made a small mess, which we cleaned up, like some places do. They understood the little mess and seemed surprised that we cleaned up after ourselves. We will be returning to this hotel. We are quiet folks who like our peace and quiet although the kids can get loud. We like that they understood that kids will be loud without making us feel like they were raised in a barn!

Frat boy retreat
By ,
travel for buisness all year, this year I was recocated to Tahlequah. Great town. The hotel was the grossed place I had ever been. There was urine and hair on the bathroom floor, when I tried to take a shower (with my shoes on) a hair ball the size of a rat came out of the very clogged drain. There was a mistery stain on the floor ( I prob don't want to know), but it was just plain dirty. The staff was nice, will never go back without a round of booster shots.

good hotel
By ,
Good hotel. I have stayed here twice and there have been marked upgrades in the furniture and bedding of the hotel. My one probelm was a giant stain in a corner of the room, that apparentely was not going to be cleaned.
