My wife and I and our 90# dog stayed there in April of 2009 and we were very satisfied with everything. Room was great, very clean. Bathroom was also very clean. Plenty of resturants near by not to mention WalMart. What would vacation be without a trip to your local WalMart, right!? Would definitely recommend it. Enjoy your stay. By the way one lady mentioned the Paragon Inn run by middle easterners, it is a very dark place, and on a steep hill. Not a good place and that judgement is just from viewing it from the outside. Stay at the Days Inn.
They have a great staff. Very friendly and will work with you if they can. They dont have many rooms so it can be hard sometimes. First floor is hard to get, but they try if it is really needede not just wanted.. Very clean and good price for the area. You get a basic breakfast, with a waffle iron and 4 juices to choose from. Wouldnt stay no where else in town.
I love my stay at the Days Inn in Hillsboro. If you want a great hotel to stay at it is the one. It has a great breakfast, wireless internet, outside pool, cabel ans hbo, and the greatest staff. The management is very friendly. All my needs and request we meet in a fast manor. Great price and they will work with you on a discount...
To my knowledge, this is the only major hotel chain in Hillsboro. It had good basic services with no frills.
The facility was not hard to find. It is down the street from several restaurants and Walmart.
The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I was on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator so I had to lug my suitcase up the stairs.
The bathroom was clean, but the bath towels were rather small (2x4) and low quality. The bathroom actually had a working exhaust fan, which was nice. Although when it was off, the neighboring bath seemed to exhaust into mine, so I left mine on at times.
The beds had stiff, inexpensive mattresses, but they were in good condition. I slept ok. The window did not open but I was able to modify the air conditioner so that it would exchange outside air. The heater and AC worked fine.
I don't think there were any premium channels on the TV, but there were plenty of basic cable channels.
The room had no iron or ironing board, but maybe they are available from the desk. I didn't ask.
The one vending machine was downstairs and took coins only.
Continental Breakfast is served from 6-10 and consists of two kinds of cereal, muffins, bread, bagels, and fruit. That was fine for me.
Overall the stay was pleasant. I had no real problems. It was a clean room and breakfast, and it was comfortable.
Oh, one big plus for me was free wireless Internet. That was Very Convienent and I used it a lot.
We had such a horrible experience in Hillsboro at the Paragon Inn...That I spent a night in the emergency room. The manager and the staff at the Days Inn, welcomed us in and they were booked up. We were offered the manager's apartment and the charge was actually so low that I don't think they could have charged us even a fraction of what they should have for that apartment. If you have to be in Hillsboro...you better call ahead and make sure that Days Inn has room for you...otherwise you are putting your family at risk. Word from experience!!!! Trust me stay at another hotel and ice would be the least of your worries.
I have stayed at Days Inn on several occasions and have allways been pretty much satisfied. It is the best motel available in Hillsboro.
Typically when a request is made, it is taken care of in a timely manner. Staff has allways been friendly. No complaints with staff. The rooms have allways been clean.
Both ice machines were broken,(one broken for a long time and not yet fixed), but the front desk personel was able to provide me with some ice. Parking was a bit of a problem this past Christmas weekend, however a large part of the city had lost electricity, so the motel was fully booked which was the reason for the parking situation. But other than that it was a pleasant stay. I will return to Days Inn again in the future.
