Appletons Best

I stayed here on a recent business trip and I had to write this review to tell everyone this Hotel is the best in Appleton. I had a reservation at the Marriott but after I checked was shocked at how run down the property was. I left the next day and found the GrandStay next door. The GrandStay was by far the best Hotel in Appleton. Great Location and extremely quiet. I stayed at the Hampton last week and it was extremely noisy from the HWY. When I checked in is was a pleasant experience and they even offered a warm cookies that were just baked. There is a beautiful lobby and a quaint Lobby Bar that offers a relaxing atmosphere after a long day. I am giving this Hotel Thumbs up and hope you find it as nice as I did.

Great place to stay

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great cont breakfast...Great place to stay if your doing shopping at the fox river mall- it is right in the action-resteraunt selection is good, and you don't have to drive all over town.

WE are coming back this weekend

I like the Continental Breakfast and your closeness to the Fox River Mall.Also my friend I and enjoyed soaking in the hot pool (jacuzi) sp.? before getting a good night's sleep in your comfortably soft beds.

very clean but small pool

this hotel was very clean from the moment i walked in. i had a non-smoking room. the hallway smelled of smoke witch worried me but when i opened the door to my room there was no sign of smoke and it was very clean and large. only problem was, was the pool was to small for us to enjoy. but because of small pool i didnt bother with the spa. which seemed large. breakfast was very nice i could not find a bit of mess or dirt in the rooms. for me and my husband i would try a place with a larger pool. but for anyone else i would highly recommend this hotel. and it is so close to all the shopping.

Great place to stay

Nice place, very clean. The front desk clerk was very nice and attentative and the location was perfect. Internet connection was great, wont heasitate to stay there again.

very nice !

I'm used to staying in upscale hotels in large US and European cities and didn't know what to expect from the Wingate Inn, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, well furnished, and immaculate. What I liked: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, perfect plush towels, window that opens, super clean room, and friendly desk and cleaning staff. What I didn't like: not a single thing. The hotel is in a good location near the interstate, shopping, restaurants, and airport. There is an exercise room, business center, and small pool, none of which I used but all appeared to be in excellent condition. I also did not take advantage of the continental breakfast serviced in a light and airy open area off of the lobby. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Appleton.

THE HOTEL WAS GREAT ALL THE AMENITIES AND THE STAFF BOTH FRONT DESK AND HOUSKEEPERS WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.

Great BED

I never slept so well in all my travels. I travel three days a week all over the world and have never met a wonderful staff like at this Wingate Inn. The girls were ever so nice and made me feel at home. I can't wait to travel again to Appleton and stay at the Wingate. They have better mattresses than I have on my own bed at home. Thanks again Wingate Inn for making my stay the best ever.

Just right

We were pleasantly surprised with the Wingate - we were trying to find someplace with a few amenities, including internet service, but also to stay within a budget. The rooms were not crammed, we had a first floor room - high ceilings! - the staff was great, housekeeping was accomodating, small pool was big enough for a five year old to feel like he'd been swimming, breakfast was your standard continental, but coffee, tea and milk were available 24 hours. I was definitely pleased.
