I would def. stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/2/09
My boyfriend and stayed here for a weekend. The parking garage was great, very secure and only 10$ overnight! It was only a short 2-3 min walk to the hotel from there. If you have a lot of luggage it may be difficult seeing that there is no curbside drop offs. However a weekender bag is easy to carry from the garage to the hotel. The location was great. The aquarium is within minutes of walking, along with the many resturaunts, bars and clubs in Fanuiel Hall. We stayed on the top floor and had a city view. We prefered to be able to look out the window at a view vs. a courtyard. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would def. make this my first choice if coming to this area again. My only complaint was that there was no continental breakfast in the morning, but there are def. plenty of places around to eat.

nice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/08
Room is small but nicely appointed and clean with contemporary decor, apparently recently remodeled. Big flat screen TV and stereo in room. coffee and internet terminals available in lobby. Few other frills. Quiet and well located. Staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint about the room is that the electrician wired everything off the main room switch, so the bedside lamps will only work if the ceiling lights are turned on! Price was reasonable.

Adorable!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/07
This hotel, with its exposed brick walls in the rooms, gorgeous view, and generally close location was perfect for my stay. Check-In and -Out was quick and easy, the rooms are large, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The bathroom, while not huge, was a good size, and it was unbelievably clean as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boston. It's close to the Aquarium and Fanueil Hall, and there is a T stop right at the Aquarium which will bring you anywhere in Boston! :)

Location is only Real positive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/07
Loved the location -- walk to North end for great Italian food. And really close to Quincy Market. The hotel itself was underwhelming. Renovations in progress and working at night when folks are trying to sleep. The staff seemed indifferent to the guests and not friendly or welcoming at all. The rooms are cute -- no curtains only mini blinds on window. Hear everything from the street - bright lights shining through the windows all night. Old bathrooms - which give the appearance of uncleanliness. Not even a laundry bag available. Computers set up in lobby for printing boarding passes and such but didn't work and the staff barely tried to help. The lobby gave the feeling of also not being clean. I would not stay here again.

Horrible Hotel for the money spent
By Suzycue, 8/28/07
I did not like the room overlooking the atrium: no feeling of privacy. There were blinds but no drapes--too much light in room. Workmen were working above us on the third floor. They woke us up every morning. Piles of dirt in the entrance hall of the hotel, dirt in the elevators. Insufficient air-conditioning; only one small area rug on one side of bed. No valet service--no one to help us with our bags and the nearest parking lot was several blocks away.

Consider other options...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/17/06
Reason for Stay: Business Conference Pros: -Location to Quincy Market; shopping; good food; harbor pier -Wireless Internet access -Great location to Boston's T (Blue line) with only 2 stops away from the Airport Cons: -Air Conditioner barely worked (not even sure it was A/C); asked for someone to look at it...never notified that anything was checked and/or fixed -Lack of power outlets close to work space -Free Internet; however massive internet filtering except for web traffic (higher ports are blocked); sorry business travelers may have difficulty getting to Corporate network; Instant Messaging is blocked -Recommend NOT taking outside rooms...too much noise. Some genius decided that revving his Harley @ 2am was funny and necessary. Delivery truck backup signals, etc. -Customer service could have been a little better. -Bug problem in my room -Bed was hard as a stone tablet. This hotel desperately needs to update the bedding and furniture -Chair arm was falling apart -Window coverings were old and falling apart -Windows were thin and had packing tape around the bottom rim...I can only assume as to what that is for!?!? -Regular turnkey locks!?!? Com'n that isn't very secure!!! Regular bolt lock for second lock? If you have valuables...consider looking elsewhere. -Cost was high considering what I got...it was inflated due to the business conference. I considered all my options for places to stay in Boston including the location and Internet access. I thought that would trump everything else...I was wrong. Look Realistically at all your options and what is most important to you on a trip and decide based off of that...I should have chosen sleep!

Not a happy camper
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/26/06
Other than its great location, the Harborside Inn was a great disappointment. When we arrived, our "guaranteed" parking spot in the nearby garage was not available, so we had to wait for a departing guest to turn in their garage transponder. After finally getting this, it took 35 minutes of circling the parking garage to finally get a parking spot. The staff at the front desk was indifferent to the situation entirely. After spending the day in the city, we returned to our small room to settle in for the night. The room's floor was so slanted we had to put two inches' worth of books under the headboard legs to make the bed remotely level. Not having time to go to Home Depot for lumber, we weren't able to do the same to the tiny pullout sofa, so we just switched the sheets to reverse head and feet locations so sleep uphill instead of downhill. Sleep wasn't an option, though, since the sofa had an enormous metal bar running across the thin mattress. Finally, for the desk staff: you can't find places like the North Church simply by exiting the front door and "going up that way somewhere."

needs new management
By athlone, 3/31/06
This hotel is in a very good location and would have potential if: the staff had the least bit of understanding regarding customer service - most of the people at the front desk were quite cold. In fact, when making the reservation I should have gotten the idea that customer service was not a strong point here. In addition, I had an experience with someone named Calvin who was very arrogant about a situation that we had whereby we needed to change our plans for important business reasons and stay just two nights instead of three. Perhaps we would have felt a lot better about his refusal to refund our third night if only he had acted like he cared at all. Instead, we got a very unsatisfactory response and actually had to make very difficult arrangements in order to stay in the hotel the third night. Additionally, the room was very dark and stuffy. The atrium room did not look out to an interior with a skylight as they say - it looked out to a dark interior with some litter strewn about. Very depressing. The thermostat did not seem to work and we were quite uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower is extremely weak. The walls were quite dirty. The pillows were flimsy and the bedding quite cheap. The only amenity of the place was coffee in the lobby. Finally, I would gladly stay in a less convenient, but quality hotel in the future.

Would recommend it to anyone
By Jennifer, 3/25/06
this really is a great place to stay. its in a very convenient location with the airport only two subway stops away. plenty of things to do straight on your doorstep (new england aquarium,IMAX theater, whale watching boat trips) and even more if you hop on the subway (the blue line is literally right outside the door). great value for money and charming!

Absolutely loved it !
By Kirsi, 1/30/06
What a great hotel; location was ideal for shopping and sightseeing (Aquarium station right outside hotel, Faneuil Hall and Freedom Trail just around the corner) and the room was very lovely (city view, good bed and bathroom). Restaurant was closed so I have no opinion about it, but lots of restaurant around the city so no problems there. I will definitely visit again!
