Love this place
By mwaers, 04/29/09
We come to St. Louis a couple of times a year and found this place oh 5 or 6 yrs. ago. After the first time, we have stayed here every since. The place is relatively inexpensive and then you add into that a free hot breakfast, two free drinks in the evenings - it's quite a good deal. We have never had any problems, everyone is very nice and accomodating, the place has always been clean when we stayed. The only fault that I can find is that one time we were in a room next to the stairwell and another we were next to the elevator. If you stay here, make sure you ask NOT to be put in a room near either of these - VERY NOISY. We could hear the kids running up and down the stairs and the elevator every time it went up or down. We are going to be staying there this weekend again. Oh yeah, I agree with a previous review - be sure to enjoy a meal on the Hill. Great Italian food!

Good hotel - bad bed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/08
The hotel was very nice. The breakfast was great. The location is great. The staff was friendly. The mattress on the bed sagged badly. Plus the pillows were very thick. If you stay here, bring your pillow from home. The hot tub was green. Not sure how clean, we avoided it.

We Would Stay Again!
By Mrs. Morris, 08/25/08
This hotel was wonderful my husband and I came to St. Louis for our honeymoon and we stayed here. The staff was very curtious and housekeeping did their job keeping our room clean. The breakfast buffet was great, and we used the whirlpool was wonderful after a long day of sight seeing in St. Louis. I would reccomend this place to anyone.

returning for a third time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/08
all in all it's a very nice place to stay. the breakfast is one of the best features and saves us money to eat somewhere else. my only complaint is about the sheets which don't stay on the bed. need fitted sheets for sure. close to the Ameristar which is where we like to go but we also go to the boat show and bass pro and the drive to the boat show isn't any big deal to get to. that's why there's interstates to go around town. otherwise no complaints except for the sheets. it's reasonably priced also. I loved it!
By Kre Kre, 05/06/07
I loved the service that we received while we were there. The only thing i didnt like about it was the housekeeping staff was not reallu up to par on their end because there was one day when I came back in the evening, and the room looked the same way it did when I left. I dont know if we needed to do anything extra to get them to come in there, but other than that it was excellent. I loved the breakfast, and it was close to a lot of attractions. I will definitely go back there again.

above and beyond
By Mica, 03/29/07
I stayed at the clubhouse Inn & Suites in St. Louis for 3 nights. The hotel offers great rates, a hot complimentary breakfast, two free drinks from the bar, and clean rooms. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to meet my needs. When they did not have a shuttle driver to take me to the airport, they paid for a cab to take me. I will stay there any time I visit St. Louis again. Thank you hotel staff!

My new favorite!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/06
I have now stayed at this hotel a few times after the wonderful experience I had staying prior to flying out of state. I was able to stay at their hotel, leave my car parked in the front of their parking lot and have them arrange for my transportation to/from the airport. They were very efficient and it kept me from paying for airport parking and worrying with getting around there. My flight back was delayed until close to 11pm and they still arranged for a taxi to pick me up and bring me to my car. Very impressed with the service, close to many restaruants and entertainment/comedy club.

The Internet Pictures are Deceiving .. Run Fast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/06
We checked in and turned around and checked out. THis hotel,is without a doubt, the filthiest and in dire need of remodeling. When we walked in the first thing that hit me (which should have been a clue to leave) was the cheap and strong smelling potpouri. The first room we were put in reeked of cigarrette smoke. They moved us to another room. I noticed in both rooms - the carpets are stained and dirty, the walls are bare and dirty, the ceilings are dirty... I was sick at the thought of having to sleep at this hotel. I didn't even unpack my things because I was not going to put anything in the drawers. We ended up checking out and staying in another hotel.

Regular Business traveler to St. Louis/Westport area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/04
I regularly travel on business to the Westport area. The Clubhouse Inn is generally quiet, well maintained, with a helpful staff. Rooms are generally clean with functioning amenities, with a few exceptions. Reasonable complementary breakfast. At times, staff seems rather "unconcerned" with the importance of internet access for business travelers. There is "in room" internet access (bring your ethernet cable). There is also wireless access (at least) in the breakfast area. Sometimes when inquiring about problems with access (such as non-functioning room internet) promises are made to "send someone", but often, nothing happens. Another annoyance has been the fact that two keys (for "total access") are needed, since the room key does not unlock side and back doors, "after hours" (they may have fixed this by now). In one visit the hotel clerk failed to give me the "second outside entry key" so I had to walk all the way from the back of the hotel to the front of the hotel, with my hand loaded, in the rain, at 2 am in the morning, only to find the front door locked as well. Not a way to spawn happy visitors! Cleaning staff is so thourough they disposed of a business associate's box from a newly purchased computer. He needed the box for the UPC code for his $250 rebate. I write this review, in part for "you" the traveler, with hopes that management is also reading this! As you can tell, I have "lived in" this hotel for awhile! A "proximity bonus" of this hotel is that it is a "stone's throw" from the restaurants in Westport. Good food, with comprehensive choices. Panera Bread (St. Louis Bread Company) and Starbucks is in the Westport area for breakfast time. (In case the Club House Inn does not get your internet connection fixed, you can get free internet access at Panera).
